Chapter Eight

Alexis's POV;

After all that incident with Christina, I decided to study because I have a test coming up tomorrow and I can't let that blonde bimbo ruin my senior year. The cafe was semi empty so I just decided to sit on one of the empty table, take out my chemistry textbook and started studying.

People can be stupid, but books definitely can't. Good one Alexis.

My phone which was placed on the wooden table chimed  and I saw Jasmin's face and name on the screen, I answered it.

Jazz: hey baby girl!

Me: what's good?

Jazz: do you wanna go out tonight?

Me: no...can't I have a huge test tomorrow which I need to read for. Wait we're in the same class, why aren't you studying?

Jazz: girl, it's senior year, I'm not letting any test hold me down! Its always the same with you when will you have fun Lexi its been forever since we went out, please?

Me: I'm sorry but no maybe some other time.

Jazz: boo! Don't call me again!

She disconnected the call. Imagine the audacity!

In between complaining, a shadow fell upon my table. My eyes went up and they met Sophie's green ones.

"Got a test?" She asked and I nodded.

"I got you a milkshake, I noticed you didn't eat anything after coming from school." She informed me as she dropped a medium sized milkshake for me.

"Thank you Soph." I thanked and she went back to the cash register.

My mom came to the shop later during the day and Sophie had already left the cafe.

After staying at the cafe for more than three hours, my mom told George and Tatiana to close for the day.

"Let's go sweetie," my mom called out when she was closing up the café. I grabbed my bag and my books and ran towards her.

When we got home Sophie was already in bed so I just drank some milk and then went to bed. My mom stayed in the kitchen doing the numbers.

Rriinngg rriinngg!

"Ugh its morning again!" I complained while removing hair from my mouth.

I brushed my teeth, took a shower and brushed my hair.

"Lexi come down for breakfast!" Sophie called, well mostly shouted but then again it's Sophie.

"I'm coming!" I yelled back.

Today Sophie was going to college and she was pretty excited.

I went down and had a quick breakfast and headed out to wait for Jazz and within two minutes of standing outside, Jazz's Honda Civic came into my view.

"Hey girl" Jazz greeted as she parked in front of me.

"How are you?" I reply to her.

"I'm good, you? " She answered with a cheerful smile.

"So how was the party?" I questioned.

"It was sick as hell girl you missed a lot."

" Oh yeah? Well I hope you made up time to study for the test."

"Yes I did, smarty pants." She rolled her eyes and kept on driving.

I was looking outside when a familiar song came on the sound system I leaned in closer and noticed it was 'The monster' by Eminem and Rihanna.

When we got to school, Jazz and I met up with Andy at the hallway.

"Someone's in a good mood today, is it  because of the test?" I asked Andy.

Andy has always been the type to get excited over tests and me too maybe it was because we were always prepared unlike others who would constantly be distracted in class.

"I really am excited over the test, the summer made me miss it a lot!" Andy replied with a grin.

"Really? The summer?" I eyed him.

"Okay fine I'm always excited for tests, happy?" He replied in a defeated tone.

"That's better." I say in a victorious tone.

"Ugh, how did I end up having you both as friends?" Jazz groaned in a frustrated tone.

Andy and I laughed as we all walked to class together and took our seats but I kept on turning back to see if Kyle would make it on time.

What if he forgot that we have a test? What if he doesn't know we have a test?

These were the questions I asked myself in  until the teacher asked for us to put away our books and that was when I got really tense.

Suddenly the door burst open and Kyle walked in and he immediately walked to passed me the smell of his masculine cologne hit me hard and I smile to myself.

"Are you alright?"Andy asked me with a concerned look. I nodded at his questions, slightly offended that he made me not enjoy Dreamworld.

The test wasn't difficult at all! I finished just twenty minutes after the paper was shared.

After the test had finished, Andy and I went straight to lunch and waited for Jazz to catch up with us.

"Hey guys!" Jazz greeted.

"Hi!" Andy and I both said in a unison, causing us to look at each other and burst into laughter.

"Wow you know you guys would really make a nice couple." Jazz teased.

"Oh please Jazz you know Andy and I are practically like siblings!" I reply Jazz and Andy lowered his face.

"You okay?" I asked Andy and he wore a pretend smile and nodded at me.

"So..." Jazz said trying to lighten the mood.

She was the one that ruined it anyway.

"How was the test?" She changed the subject.

"Well it was nice but I finished before Andy." I boasted.

" Only three minutes." He corrected but I didn't care.

After school was over, Jasmin offered to drop us all in our homes. On the way home, I saw a certain blond devil well, hot devil smiling at ANOTHER GIRL my blood began to boil and I turned my face to the other side.

"So do you like want to come over tonight?" I asky Jazz and she nodded.

" Hey! what about me?" Andy shouted from behind and we both laughed.
