63. Healing

Hooriya stirred on the bed as her eyes blinked open. She slowly got up with difficulty. The slightest movement makes her back ache so painfully.

She found Hamza sleeping peacefully on the bed beside hers. Seeing him sleeping like a baby calmed her heart. Just knowing that he was close to her was enough for the pain to fade away a little.

With much difficulty, she got off the bed and strutted to the bathroom. A week passed and she was able to walk around a little though Hamza didn't let her.

She couldn't forget how everyone was crying happy tears when they met her after she got her consciousness back. Everyone was so happy and she was overwhelmed by their love. She felt like she finally had the family she always yearned to have.

She stepped into the restroom and did her business, she splashed water on her face as she clutched the basin with her head hung low and breathing in deeply. She slowly stared at her reflection. She looked pale but still far better than the first day.
