Brielle paced along the wooden flooring, muttering the odd swear word here and there as she rushed back and forth past her Beta and Gamma.

The corner of Scarlett’s lips turned upright as she watched her best friend work herself into a frenzy of frustration. As insufferable as Scarlett found the triplets to be, she did enjoy the amusing affect they appeared to have on her Alpha.

Brielle was never known to lose her cool, but these idiots seemed to really get under her skin.

Harlie sighed as she plopped herself down on the edge of Brielle’s bed, before resting back on her elbows and twisting her lips. “Can you stop? You’re giving me whiplash with all this back and forth.” She groaned as her eyes glanced over the ceiling.

Brielle came to a halt and faced her sister. “We weren’t supposed to see them outside of the challenges! The mate bond will be a distraction enough with the limited interaction, let alone if we’re getting freaking cozy over a dinner table! Ocean is stirring li

Brielle allowed a smug grin to grow on the edge of her lips as she sashayed her hips across the room, feeling confident she had managed to throw a curveball the triplets way. She looked hot and she knew it. Ocean whined within her as the leggy blonde still clung to one of the triplets like a koala bear, desperately trying to regain his attention, but Brielle knew better than to give them the satisfaction of knowing it had effected her. She had her game face on. “Wait until I get my paws on that bitch.” Ocean growled as she paced back and forth. Brielle chuckled at her wolf’s jealous threats as she took a champagne flute off a passing by waiters tray. She brought the glass to her lips, carefully taking a steady sip, before turning her attention to Harlie and Scarlett. Harlie crinkled her nose as amusement flickered in her blue orbs. “Worked like a charm.” She sighed contently. Scarlett burst into a fit of giggles as she shook her head in dismay. “Thing one l

Brielle swiftly spun to face the direction of the commotion, only to see one of the triplets storm raiding towards her. With his eyebrows furrowed and his jaw sharper than a knife, it was obvious he was furious. Gasps echoed throughout the room as each conversation came to a halt, choosing to focus their attention on them instead. As the triplet tried to take another step closer, his two brothers abruptly grabbed either shoulder to hold him back. The look of concern was evident on their faces, but Brielle noticed a hint of irritation too. Were they mad at their brother or her? “I told you not to dance with him.” Ocean muttered in infuriation, but Brielle brushed her off. In her wolfs eyes, it appeared to be one rule for her and another for them. Brielle’s eyebrows quirked as she wore an unimpressed expression, whilst she calmly watched the scene unfold. The triplet’s chest aggressively puffed in and out as he listened to the whispers from his brothers. The corners of Arlen

The night continued to be fairly drama free, once the reality of who Brielle’s new friend was dawned on the triplets. They proceeded to be on their best behaviour whilst they were graced with the presence of royalty, however that hadn’t stopped both Reid and Ryker subtly sulking in the corner as they watched their mate and the prince chat the night away. Once the official news of the Battle of the Alpha’s had been announced and the triplets made their rounds of introductions, they jumped at the opportunity to call it a night. Cassie had attached herself to River’s hip for the majority of the night, much to his irritation. Sure, he thought she was hot at first but he soon came to find her whining incredibly annoying. However, the more he watched the mate he supposedly didn’t give a damn about flaunt around with Arlen, the more he welcomed the distraction. So, much to Kane’s disapproval, when his brother’s returned to their suite, he agreed to accompany her to her r

“And then he ate my biscoff!” Brielle exclaimed in disbelief, as she informed her Beta and Gamma of the previous nights events. The corners of Scarlett’s lips turned up right as the raised a brow at her Alpha. “Did he now?” She teased. Brielle grabbed a pillow from her bed and threw it at her Gamma, before rolling her eyes at the girl’s insinuation. “You know that’s not what I meant.” Scarlett held her hands up in defeat, but the grin on her lips didn’t falter. Harlie chuckled as she reached down for the pillow off the floor, before placing it back in its rightful spot on Brielle’s bed. “He’s just trying to get under your skin, Bri.” Harlie told her. “After all, he did have to watch you flaunt around with a prince all night.” She grinned at her older sister, impressed with her choice of men. “I’d kill to be you right now.” Scarlett sighed as she plopped herself down next to Bri. “Three sexy alpha mates and a dreamy prince, what more could a girl want?” Scarlett

As Brielle headed through the castle doors, she was met with a familiar mischievous face heading towards her. She was desperately hoping she wouldn’t run into the third triplet just yet, the previous two had left her feeling exhausted. It felt as though she was swirling through a tunnel of mind games, one’s she didn’t agree to play. Arlen’s smile shined bright as his eyes landed on Brielle, he had been hoping to bump into her again before the challenges began. “Well if it isn’t the famous troublemaker herself.” Arlen teased as he joined her side. Brielle chuckled as she rolled her eyes at the prince. “I haven’t a clue what you’re talking about.” Brielle played dumb as she slightly shrugged her shoulders. “We both know you’re the trouble here, Mr Crown Prince.” Arlen let out a loud laugh, before a cheeky grin grew on his lips. Now that Brielle looked at him closely, she could see the resemblance between Arlen and the King. He was practically King Nathaniel’s twin. She had a

Brielle inhaled a deep breath as her eyes met Ryker’s. Butterflies fluttered within her upon the sight of him, whilst her mind grew frustrated by what she considered to be an unreasonable outburst. Fury transformed Ryker’s expression. He was already growing sick of the man before him. Prince or not, he needed to stay away from his mate. It seemed as though every time he turned around, he found the pair together. It felt like a dagger in the heart every time he saw her laugh with Arlen, seeing how comfortable and playful she was around him. He desperately wanted that for himself with her. Brielle noticed how Ryker’s once gorgeous blue eyes shone black with anger as they locked onto Arlen. With a loud huff and a roll of her eyes, she addressed him. “Would you calm down?” She insisted. “It’s not what it looks like.” Ryker’s brows quirked as he met Brielle’s gaze. “Oh, is it not?” He responded sarcastically. “Because what it looks like is every time I turn around he se

Brielle let out a deep breath as she stretched out her limbs. She rolled onto her side and admired the view from the floor-to-ceiling window in her room. The sun was shining bright, without a cloud in the sky. She smiled faintly as she wrapped herself deeper into her duvet, she had loved waking up to this scene the last few mornings. Oh and this bed, she thought as she sunk deeper into the mattress. She felt on cloud nine, at least for a moment, before she suddenly shot up in horror. Today was the day. The day it all really began. “Crap.” She muttered, as she shuffled to the edge of the bed. She let out a loud yawn as she scratched the side of her head, before shuffling to her en-suite. “You ready, O?” She questioned as she warily gazed at her reflection in the mirror. Ocean snorted confidently. “Please, I was born ready.” Now this was her confident Alpha wolf, Brielle had been questioning whether Ocean had turned soft lately, but her wolf’s words put a grin on her

“As this is the first challenge, I’ve decided to start you off easy.” Queen Serena announced to the eagerly awaiting participants, however, the twinkle in her eye told them nothing about this whole thing was going to be easy. “Well… not too easy, what would be the fun in that?” She grinned as she took a seat on her throne. The Queen crossed her leg over the other and gently rested her palms on the chair arms. The room remained silent as each individual awaited her next words. The Queen smiled and nodded her head. “This challenge shall differ as it will just be myself who will determine the winner. However, from all future challenges, my husband shall join us. You should expect to see members of the Royal Court in future also. They will be present to ensure any decisions made remain unbiased and true to the cause.” Just as the Queen finished her final words, Jacques Thompkins entered the hall. It had been an intense year for the Alphas as they settled into their new roles. Merging the two packs had taken some serious work, it had taken a while for the natural rivalry between the two to die down and accept each other as one. Fortunately, the Blood Moon members immediately accepted Brielle as one of their own. Whether that was due to their own kindness or fear of being castrated by the triplets was unclear, but Brielle was grateful nevertheless. David had finally come to terms with his little girl being mated, not that he had been given much choice. Although, there had been a moment where Brielle feared David would be pushed over the edge when it came out Harlie was mated to the Blood Moon beta, Lucas. But just like the triplets, Lucas had managed to charm his way into David’s good graces, after Sophia threatened to have him sleeping on the couch if he didn’t give up his hostile persona. Harlie and Lucas were the perfect match, both incredibly loyal to one another and to

It had been an emotional morning for many as everyone shared their goodbyes. Brielle especially found leaving Amaris unexpectedly hard, so much had changed for her there and so many wonderful memories had been created, leaving was bittersweet. But as the saying goes; as one door closes, another door opens. Brielle and the triplets had been discussing over the last few days how to merge the packs, with as little disruption as possible. Luckily, as there wasn’t much distance between the two lands, a solution was found. Both Brielle and River had sent links to their pack members asking them to meet on common ground between the two, explaining they would be there shortly to make an announcement. River set his palm on Brielle’s thigh, whilst his other hand remained tight on the steering wheel. He noticed a disappointed expression written across her face, one that had him frowning. “What is it, Brie?” He wondered. Brielle turned to meet his gaze, before briefly shaking her head with a s

Brielle danced the night away, laughing and drinking with Harlie and Scarlett, not having a care in the world as since the day they first arrived at Amaris, they could finally relax. The girls secured their spot in the middle of the dance floor and moved like their life depended on it, spilling drinks as they joked with one another. Reid, to no surprise to Brielle, regularly joined in with their hysterics, twirling Brielle around and throwing her over his shoulder as he danced to the beat. River and Ryker made a few appearances by their side, but found themselves repeatedly being dragged away to discuss business with other Alpha’s. Many present were Alpha’s the triplets had already built contractual relationships with, so unfortunately they couldn’t be avoided. But Brielle didn’t mind, this was a celebration for Shadow. She would have plenty of time with the triplets as the night came to a close, the last few hours her sole focus was to have fun with Harlie and Scarlett. Brielle h

The next day, River and Brielle spent the morning fooling around in the sheets of their bed, neither being prepared to leave the loved-up cocoon they had engulfed themselves in. But finally, after what seemed to take every ounce of their inner strength, they managed to drag themselves out of bed and head back to Amaris in preparation of the celebratory ball being thrown in Brielle’s honour. Upon her return, and after squeezing in some time with Ryker and Reid, Brielle headed to her room to get ready for the evening with Harlie and Scarlett. “So.. how was it?!” Scarlett questioned as she wrapped her hair around the curling iron. “And do not spare any details, I'm living vicariously through you these days.” Brielle snorted, shaking her head at the gamma before setting down her lipstick and turning to meet two sets of eager eyes. She pressed her lips together, despite having just finished her makeup, and let a cheesy grin grow on her lips. "Do you remember when he told me I'd be begg

Brielle hurried to her room to gather her belongings, she wasn’t sure where she was going thanks to River’s vagueness but he had told her to grab some clothes for the morning, apparently they wouldn’t be returning tonight. The excitement was pumping through her, her hands racing through her wardrobe and grabbing the first thing she saw. He’d told her she was fine in what she was wearing, although she had decided to throw a pair of leggings on anyway. She didn’t quite fancy strolling through the castle in nothing but a tee again.“Come in,” Brielle called out as she heard a knock on her door. Harlie glided into the room with Scarlett following closely behind, before they both took a seat on Brielle’s unmade bed.Scarlett perched her brow as she watched Brielle throw random items into a bag. “And where do you think you’re going?” She teased.Brielle grinned, side eyeing her gamma. “River is taking me somewhere for the night, although I’m not sure where.” She tried to hide her excitement

Upon her return to Amaris, Brielle had spent the last day with her loved ones, cherishing the moments as much as she could. Scarlett and Reid had even managed to put their bickering to the side for the day, instead focusing on being grateful for Brielle’s safety. David and Sophia had returned to Shadow with their warriors earlier this afternoon, after displaying significant reluctance to ever leave Brielle’s side again. David only agreed to leave once he gave the triplets a stern talking to, reiterating that if his little girl so much as lost a single hair from her head moving forward, he’d cut off their prized possessions and feed them to Gladdis’ pythons. The triplets didn’t often feel threatened, but the look on David’s face told them he’d go to the ends of the world to follow through on his promise. The King and Queen had been absent most of the day, working with Gladdis on the appropriate punishment for Nimue. Under usual circumstances, she would fall under Gladdis’ jurisdicti

Leaving no time to spare, the moment the cloaking enchantment was broken, warriors in their wolf form dashed towards the dirty grey architecture. The charcoaled, grey building was clear as day to them now. It was hard to believe this three level building wasn’t visible to the eye merely moments ago. But the building wasn’t the only revelation following the breaking of the spell, dozens and dozens of rogues surrounded the scene staring back at the warriors in a dazed state. Under usual circumstances, the element of surprise would have always been a priority. But in this scenario, there wasn’t any choice. Seemingly, as the three groups continued to gain a closer advantage, the confused rogues swiftly began transitioning into their wolf counterparts. One by one, with no fear in the world, they charged towards the warriors. Where they lacked in strength and numbers, their feral state made up for. Death didn’t frighten them. King Nathaniel’s wolf, Roman, was the first the shed blood. Ch

“You’ll be split into three teams.” King Nathaniel announced to the sea of warriors before him. “We need to be able to remain in contact with each pack at all times, meaning the three packs need to be integrated. One will be led by myself, one will be led by the Blood Moon alpha’s and one will be led by David, Alpha Regent of Shadow.” David firmly nodded in the King’s direction, his game face never faltering as he folded his arms across his chest. Under usual circumstances, in Brielle’s absence, he would allow Harlie to step up as interim Alpha. But with his eldest’s life hanging in the balance, he couldn’t allow room for mistakes. “My group will take the west, River’s group will take east and David’s group will take south.” The King continued, surveying his eyes over the 300 hundred bodies. “Gladdis and the Fer Fung will be located north, in the neck of the forest. They will need to remove the cloaking enchantment placed on Zion’s hide out, but once this happens we have a matter of

The uneasy feeling gathering in the pit of his stomach only worsened with each passing moment, further moments where Brielle was out of his grasp. They had come so close, so incredibly close to finally being together and just when he had her in his arms, she was snatched from beneath him. It was taking every ounce of his self-control to remain calm, although he was on the verge of snapping at any moment. Seven SUV’s filled with the best of Blood Moon’s warriors followed behind him and his brothers, each filled with angst and ready to eliminate the threat which stole their new alpha. They had never met Brielle, but she was one of them now. No one hurt one of their own.
