Chapter: EpilogueFive years later…Laughter filled the room next door, followed by a hasty “shh!” by Nate.I shook my head in dismay, chuckling as I overheard the scene. I flipped the duvet off my legs, before shuffling my feet inside the slippers resting at my bedside.I tiptoed across the floorboards, desperately trying to not make a sound, before gently twisting the door to our bed chambers.I creeped along the hallway until I reached the door of our nursery. I quietly rested my head against the wooden frame, listening in to whatever was so amusing.“Ahhh!” Nate exclaimed, before being followed by a concerning loud thud. Giggles echoed thereafter, as footsteps of tiny feet could be heard pitter-pattering along the floorboards.Choosing to go with the element of surprise, I abruptly flung open the door before me. Suddenly, three pairs of alarmed eyes cast over me as they realised they’d been caught in the act.I folded my arms across my chest, pretending to be furious at what I had found. “Well well

Chapter: Sixty Nine“You’re pregnant?” Amber squealed, as she jumped up and down in excitement. “With a baby?” Terror overlooked Archie’s face, he was never much a kid person. “This is so exciting!” Maddie exclaimed, clapping her hands together repeatedly. I laughed loudly at each other their reactions, before placing my hand on Archie’s shoulder. “Yes, Archie. With a baby.” His eyes widened. “Oh goddess.” He muttered, before his eyes darted to the floor. Anyone would think it was him who was having a pup. “Could this day get any more special?” Maddie welled up beside me, wafting her hand against her face in order to protect her makeup. I gleamed as looked at each of my best friends, each so beautiful in their own way. We’d already faced so many challenges together and this would be another to add to the list. Maddie was right, today truly couldn’t become any more special. As Maddie and Amber donned their pale blue bridesmaid dresses, the realty of my future started to set in. This is what we had

Chapter: Sixty EightNate had insisted I went to see the nurse this morning, after experiencing continuous dizzy spells and waves of nausea since yesterday evening. I repeatedly told him I’d more than likely eaten something funny, but he wouldn’t settle with that reason. So after a huff and a puff, I stripped off my stubborn boots and finally agreed to see the nurse. Frankly, I think he needed the distraction anyway. So as Nate paced around the nurse’s office anxiously awaiting my blood results, I laid awkwardly on the hospital bed twiddling my fingers, trying not to bring the new hit of nausea I was suffering from to his attention. As the brunette nurse, I now knew was named Mary, reentered her office Nate threw his hands in the air with an exasperated sigh. “Finally!” He muttered, as he took his place back by my side. I rolled my eyes at his dramatics, choosing to ignore his impatience, even though we’d only be waiting approximately 6 minutes. I’d learnt to pick my battles with Nate, some comments j

Chapter: Sixty SevenIt had been a draining couple of days since we finally revealed the truth. Questions had been coming at me from every possible direction from those trying to understand what being a hybrid truly meant, which typically resulted in me using some form of magic to demonstrate my capabilities. But the excitement was wearing down, as a new daunting reality started to set in. One that would leave an everlasting effect on my beloved mate. William’s execution day. After going back and forth over whether Nate had made the correct decision, he ultimately decided that he had. In his eyes, he knew it wasn’t right for his brother to escape the consequences another werewolf who had committed the same crimes would receive. So today was the day. Nate would finally say goodbye to his brother once and for all. But that wasn’t the only big event happening today. This morning I would be escorting my mother back to Midsummer, where she will temporarily take control of the throne until I have settled i

Chapter: Sixty SixSerena’s POVNate tangled the ends of my hair around the tips of his fingers, as he gazed out our chamber’s window absentmindedly. The responsibility of choosing an appropriate punishment for his own brother, well it was never something he had expected to do.This time yesterday he had been expecting a warm family reunion once he had saved William from what he believed was a threat. Who could have guessed William was the real threat. He had the weight of the world on his shoulders. Other than support him in his decision, there wasn’t much I could do. Nate had to figure this one out on his own. Whatever decision he made, I’d stand by him. With a heavy sigh, he turned his head against the pillow and met my gaze. His eyes were sunken, dulled by the burden he bared. “I know what I’m going to do.” His lips formed a tight line.I gently placed my palm on his cheek, offering physical support. “Whatever it is, I’ll be right behind you.”His pupils dilated as a warm smile spread across his lip

Chapter: Sixty FiveThird Person’s POV Serena sobbed uncontrollably as she held her mate’s lifeless body, refusing to accept the fate she’d been handed. She pulled him in closer, stroking the side of his cheek as the tears from her weeps fell onto him one by one. She locked eyes with her mates so called brother. Anger seethed through her, bubbling in her veins every millisecond longer she watched Nate’s killer. “How could you do this?” She spat, venom laced in her voice. William sighed as his eyes darted to the ceiling. “Do you have any idea what it was like? Living in his shadow? Always Nate this, Nate that. He was so bloody perfect, I couldn’t possibly compare.” He gritted through his teeth as he relived the memories. William had always been jealous of the attention Nate had received. He had tried his very best to be the perfect prince for his father, putting in extra hours of combat training and studying until early hours of the morning, learning the perfect etiquette and the responsibilities bei

The Battle Of The Alpha’s
After taking over from her father, Brielle becomes the first female Alpha to exist. Better yet, the pack she takes over is the second largest in the country. To say she already had her work cut out for her would be an understatement.
Since the day she was born, she’s planned for this very day and made sure she would be a force to be reckoned with. Despite being one of the most ruthless, strongest warriors to date, many Alpha’s believe the Shadow Pack need a man in charge.
Brielle must assert her dominance and deter those coming to take her title. She was prepared to put up one hell of a fight and eliminate anyone coming to take what was her birthright. It was about time these men knew who was in charge, anyway.
Knock a few egos back into place. How complicated could it be?
Except, it was about to get more complicated than ever. In the mist of all the chaos, the Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack decided to take a shot too.
Now this was different from the attempt’s of other Alpha’s because the Blood Moon Pack was the only pack larger than the Shadow Pack and it turns out the Alpha is Brielle’s mate.
Will realising Brielle is his mate change the Alpha’s plans to dominant eliminate her leadership? Or has the battle for the Alpha title of the Shadow Pack only just begun?
If that’s then case, then as Brielle would say; “let the games begin.”
And quite literally, might I add.
Oh, damn it, I forgot one more thing. Did I say Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack? Sorry, I meant Alpha’s.
More specifically, I meant Alpha River, Alpha Ryker and Alpha Reid.

Chapter: EpilogueIt had been an intense year for the Alphas as they settled into their new roles. Merging the two packs had taken some serious work, it had taken a while for the natural rivalry between the two to die down and accept each other as one. Fortunately, the Blood Moon members immediately accepted Brielle as one of their own. Whether that was due to their own kindness or fear of being castrated by the triplets was unclear, but Brielle was grateful nevertheless. David had finally come to terms with his little girl being mated, not that he had been given much choice. Although, there had been a moment where Brielle feared David would be pushed over the edge when it came out Harlie was mated to the Blood Moon beta, Lucas. But just like the triplets, Lucas had managed to charm his way into David’s good graces, after Sophia threatened to have him sleeping on the couch if he didn’t give up his hostile persona. Harlie and Lucas were the perfect match, both incredibly loyal to one another and to

Chapter: Sixty FiveIt had been an emotional morning for many as everyone shared their goodbyes. Brielle especially found leaving Amaris unexpectedly hard, so much had changed for her there and so many wonderful memories had been created, leaving was bittersweet. But as the saying goes; as one door closes, another door opens. Brielle and the triplets had been discussing over the last few days how to merge the packs, with as little disruption as possible. Luckily, as there wasn’t much distance between the two lands, a solution was found. Both Brielle and River had sent links to their pack members asking them to meet on common ground between the two, explaining they would be there shortly to make an announcement. River set his palm on Brielle’s thigh, whilst his other hand remained tight on the steering wheel. He noticed a disappointed expression written across her face, one that had him frowning. “What is it, Brie?” He wondered. Brielle turned to meet his gaze, before briefly shaking her head with a s

Chapter: Sixty FourBrielle danced the night away, laughing and drinking with Harlie and Scarlett, not having a care in the world as since the day they first arrived at Amaris, they could finally relax. The girls secured their spot in the middle of the dance floor and moved like their life depended on it, spilling drinks as they joked with one another. Reid, to no surprise to Brielle, regularly joined in with their hysterics, twirling Brielle around and throwing her over his shoulder as he danced to the beat. River and Ryker made a few appearances by their side, but found themselves repeatedly being dragged away to discuss business with other Alpha’s. Many present were Alpha’s the triplets had already built contractual relationships with, so unfortunately they couldn’t be avoided. But Brielle didn’t mind, this was a celebration for Shadow. She would have plenty of time with the triplets as the night came to a close, the last few hours her sole focus was to have fun with Harlie and Scarlett. Brielle h

Chapter: Sixty ThreeThe next day, River and Brielle spent the morning fooling around in the sheets of their bed, neither being prepared to leave the loved-up cocoon they had engulfed themselves in. But finally, after what seemed to take every ounce of their inner strength, they managed to drag themselves out of bed and head back to Amaris in preparation of the celebratory ball being thrown in Brielle’s honour. Upon her return, and after squeezing in some time with Ryker and Reid, Brielle headed to her room to get ready for the evening with Harlie and Scarlett. “So.. how was it?!” Scarlett questioned as she wrapped her hair around the curling iron. “And do not spare any details, I'm living vicariously through you these days.” Brielle snorted, shaking her head at the gamma before setting down her lipstick and turning to meet two sets of eager eyes. She pressed her lips together, despite having just finished her makeup, and let a cheesy grin grow on her lips. "Do you remember when he told me I'd be begg

Chapter: Sixty TwoBrielle hurried to her room to gather her belongings, she wasn’t sure where she was going thanks to River’s vagueness but he had told her to grab some clothes for the morning, apparently they wouldn’t be returning tonight. The excitement was pumping through her, her hands racing through her wardrobe and grabbing the first thing she saw. He’d told her she was fine in what she was wearing, although she had decided to throw a pair of leggings on anyway. She didn’t quite fancy strolling through the castle in nothing but a tee again.“Come in,” Brielle called out as she heard a knock on her door. Harlie glided into the room with Scarlett following closely behind, before they both took a seat on Brielle’s unmade bed.Scarlett perched her brow as she watched Brielle throw random items into a bag. “And where do you think you’re going?” She teased.Brielle grinned, side eyeing her gamma. “River is taking me somewhere for the night, although I’m not sure where.” She tried to hide her excitement

Chapter: Sixty OneUpon her return to Amaris, Brielle had spent the last day with her loved ones, cherishing the moments as much as she could. Scarlett and Reid had even managed to put their bickering to the side for the day, instead focusing on being grateful for Brielle’s safety. David and Sophia had returned to Shadow with their warriors earlier this afternoon, after displaying significant reluctance to ever leave Brielle’s side again. David only agreed to leave once he gave the triplets a stern talking to, reiterating that if his little girl so much as lost a single hair from her head moving forward, he’d cut off their prized possessions and feed them to Gladdis’ pythons. The triplets didn’t often feel threatened, but the look on David’s face told them he’d go to the ends of the world to follow through on his promise. The King and Queen had been absent most of the day, working with Gladdis on the appropriate punishment for Nimue. Under usual circumstances, she would fall under Gladdis’ jurisdicti

His Feisty Hybrid Princess
Being the Princess of both the werewolf world and the faerie kingdom, Midsummer, Belle knew her life would always involve many responsibilities and for the most part, she was fine with that.
So when her mother, Queen Serena, decides its time for Belle to take over as the Queen of Midsummer, Belle couldn't have been more excited.
Except, this promise came with a catch.. more specifically, a marriage.. the exact situation Belle didn't want.
Faerie Prince Layke of the Avalon Realm had no intentions of taking a wife, at least not yet. But when his father, King Eryek, refuses to let Layke claim the throne without the proposed marriage, he quickly comes up with an idea.
Despite the pair not being particularly fond of one another, the marriage is the key to binding the two realms and creating a stronger union against an upcoming threat.
Layke's proposal to Belle is simple... their parents said they had to get married, but they never said how long for. Layke and Belle would bond the two realms and build up their armies, eliminate whatever threat their parents were so concerned over and then go their separate ways as if they had never even met.
Simple enough, right?

Chapter: 41Layke rushed out of the SUV towards the Midummer castle entrance, climbing two steps at a time before striding straight to Belle’s room. He could feel where she was through the mark, just like he could feel the pain she was in and it stung, really stung. He also knew it was late and she was probably fast asleep by now, but he couldn’t wait, he had to see her and he had to see her now. “Belle!” he called out behind her door, his hand resting on the locked doorknob. Belle gasped, startled, quickly sitting up in her bed. What the hell was he doing here? She couldn’t see him, she just couldn’t. Looking into his eyes would hurt her and Nia too much, it would rip open the wound that was ever so slowly healing. “You shouldn’t be here!” she called, desperately hoping that by some miracle he left her alone. “Please leave,” she sighed. She didn’t have the fight in her, not anymore. “No, baby, I won’t leave.” Her heart tugged at the endearment. “Let me in, please.” He pleaded, though he wasn’

Chapter: 40Nia turned her gaze to Layke, still keeping the enforcer pinned beneath her, and Belle hoped her worst fear hadn’t come true. But when she saw the longing in his sharp green eyes as he gazed at Sierra, her heart stopped. No, this couldn’t be happening. She knew there was a chance he would find his mate, but her? Her? The gods surely had to be laughing at her right now, utterly amused by the chances. But it wasn’t his birthday until tomorrow. He shouldn’t be able to recognise his mate yet? How was this possible? Question after question spiralled in Belle’s mind as Layke was unable to move his gaze from Sierra, failing to notice the hurt Belle was feeling. Her heart was shattered, a dull ache filling her with nothing but emptiness. She couldn’t be here. She couldn’t see this. “Layke,” Sierra cried. Layke felt like he was going crazy. There was no way this traitor could be his mate. His breathing laboured and uneven, his fists were clenched. No, this couldn’t be happening. It had to b

Chapter: 39Time seemed to stand still, there was an eery silence in the air that had everyone on edge. No one uttered a word, no one uttered a sound. They were in battle mode, anxiously waiting for their enemy to arrive. The wind whistled amongst the trees, leaves flickering through the air. Tension was thick, suffocating, even. If you listened intently enough, you’d heard the thundering of heartbeats echoing along the fortress wall, threatening to rip from their chests. Belle held her head high, her eyes narrowed on the clearing, waiting for those who were against them to arrive. Her chest heaved, the threat that was soon ahead filling her with rage. No one tried to hurt her people and got away with it. Today was about revenge. Today was about justice. Today was about the future. She had a one-track mind right now and it could be summarised with one word: kill. Her mother stood by her side, her long blonde hair dancing in the wind, determination glazed in her eyes, her fingertips tingling wi

Chapter: 38Rura sent word to Henrie that the Gylandies were attempting an attack on Moonbeam again two days time, which meant that Layke, Belle, her royal family and the rest of the group had been running around resembling headless chickens as they finalised all the finer details which would allow them to be ready on battle day. Belle and Serena had taken over elemental training, wanting to see first-hand what each enforcer which focused on power rather than combat had to offer. They needed to figure out their front line of defence. With magic being involved, combat was important but not as important as matching the elemental strength of the Gylandies, who were likely to be more powerful than your average faerie considering they were drawing on blood magic. Of course, Serena, Belle, Layke, Cobi, Arlen and Henrie were going to be the strongest faeries they had, but that wouldn’t be enough. Belle was pleased to discover there were four other enforcers who had the shielding element, like her and

Chapter: 37Layke was striding purposefully towards the door, intent of hunting down the little witch that had tried to hurt his wife. Belle dashed after him and leapt onto his back, locking her arms around his neck and her legs around his middle. “Layke, listen to me. No, you can’t go after her, it’s what they want. You’ll be walking right into a trap. They knew there was a chance that creep wouldn’t return. They knew there was a chance he would be caught. And if he was, then you’d go in guns blazing.” He continued onwards as if Belle wasn’t even there, completely undeterred by her weight – though it was fair to say she didn’t weight that much. Deserting her plan to placate him, Belle took to another approach. She kicked her legs madly and bit his ear. “Layke, do not do this! For fuck sake, will you listen!” Layke halted abruptly and shifted her so that she was wrapped around his front. He held her gaze as he growled. “Don’t, Belle. Don’t ask me to ignore this. You’re my wife and she sent some

Chapter: 36Chapter 36: It had been two days since Belle’s family and the Fer Fung has arrived in Midummer and it had been a week since they last heard from Rura, meaning they were expecting to get an update any day now. They were travelling to Avalon today in readiness, considering it was where the Gylandies were most likely to next attack. Most of the Midsummer warriors had already moved over to Avalon in preparation, with a few more coming each passing day. They didn’t want to alert the Gylandies by having hundreds of people move kingdoms at once, so it was decided that it would be smarter to do it in small doses so it didn’t trigger an alert. Travelling back had been eventful. With the Fer Fung, the Amaris family and the rest of the gang all needing to get back to Avalon, the SUV’s had been rather cramped. Belle and her brothers had quickly resorted to their bickering, not surprising anyone. Belle had accused Cobi of purposefully taking up much more room than required in the back of the SUV
