Racheal’s eyes were closing off in exhaustion when she heard something that startled her awake. She sat up and stared at the snow globe, alert.She listened in silence, shocked at what her ears were hearing. In her hands, Luna was holding a huge bunch of red roses that was shaped like a giant teddy. Racheal’s face involuntarily melted. Racheal repeatedly caught Isaac stealing glances at her in the back seat, from the rearview mirror in front, where he sat beside the driver. She ignored him. She knew it was a weird request to visit with someone who got married two days ago, but she had to see Skylar. If Skylar was too busy to see her, she would gladly return home. Since this was an arranged marriage, she doubted the couple needed time alone, Skylar may even be eager to see a friend. She stared out the window, trying not to think of the selfishness of it all.
