BONUS CHAPTER 3 (Painful Mourning)

It took a while before I could muster up the courage to come out to the living room. After losing consciousness, I had woken up at the Garden.

Carefully tucked in bed. I was able to peer into the living room, just to be sure the events of the past week hadn't been a dream that I was waking up from.

And when I saw Alessia standing beside the bedroom door, and the living room looking as good as before, I almost let out a breath of relief, believing it was all a dream.

But it wasn't. Alessia confirmed that much to me, later. And I went into mourning immediately. There was no news about Hollis, nobody came to see me, no calls.
