“You slimy snake!” I bet Heather didn’t see the slap as my hand made contact with her face. The blow was resounding and silence that reigned after it was louder than the noise itself. For a moment Heather simply held her cheek and stared but not for long. She raised her hand to hit me but as she brought her hand down Christian held her hand and yanked it down with such force that she squeaked but my victory was short-lived as Dahlia and Lola both pounced on me. Suddenly all I could see was fists, hair was flying all over the place, buttons popped and in the midst of it all, I could feel Charlie holding me back as I tried to get a hold of Tyler’s smug face. “Enough of this!” The tone was commanding and authoritative and I was soon to find out that the voice belonged to our Principal Mr. Jorge. Great. Just great. I’m sure Mom would love this. “Jessica, Heather, Christian, Tyler, Jordan, Charlie, Lola, and Dahlia to my office now!” And so we found ourselves doing the walk of shame
“Mr. Jorge is such a ninny.” It was Zoe who spoke. She was sitting on Charlie’s bed with her legs crossed, and a historical romance book was resting in the middle of her crossed legs. Charlie was on her chair eating some cookies she snagged from the shop that opened on the school premises during school hours. “Not much of a ninny as a pussy,” she said between bites of chocolate chip cookies. “I bet the reason he didn’t punish Tyler and Heather was that he feared Tyler would run off to tell his father like the little bitch he is and then Mr. Maximilian Edwin would fire Mr. Jorge and makes sure he never finds any job anywhere again. I can’t say I blame him, I won’t want to be in his position.” “And you’re forgetting the fact that Jess’s father controls Mr. Edwin’s branch here,” Zoe said with a half-smile. Charlie winked at me. “Feels good to be friends with you Jess, I can always blame you whenever I find myself in deep shit knowing that Mr. Jorge won’t be able to do anything without
As soon as Helen and I stepped into the Hall, fashionably late, of course, silence reigned in the hall. Every class from junior class one to Senior class 3 had their eyes in our direction. I live for this, I live to be the center of positive attention but it wasn’t me they were looking at, it was Helen. Helen faltered and I had to hold her elbow to support her as we walked past rows and rows of seats to the table Charlie and Zoe kept for us. Soon people started whispering. “That’s Helen?” “Helen? The Helen?” Even Heather and her group of cronies couldn’t help but glance in our direction. I guess you could say she was blown away by what a simple A-line skirt could do for Helen’s figure because her mouth hung open more than that of a fish thrown out of water. Helen's full hips completely filled out every inch of the short dark brown skirt and contrary to what she thought she had really sexy legs that made even me jealous. Just as I was enjoying my victory some idiot from my right sid
By break the next day I was walking down the halls of the junior students' area with Annabel Reed and Jake Newman to what they called the “Newspaper Office.” It was Friday and my Fridays are pretty uneventful. I had an English class in the morning then a free period then a cooking class and then another free period while Charlie marched off to the Woodwork class. She’s pretty handy and she’s good at construction. I’m not one for all that so I chose cooking class instead and finished two hours ahead of Charlie. Just as I was thinking of what to do with my life Annabel marched into my class and wiggled her fingers at me. No one says no to the head girl so I followed her to Jake’s class where she wiggled her fingers at him too and announced that we would be having a committee meeting that morning. So we walked together to the newsroom where she said the other members of the committee were waiting. I had expected a room with cramped space and equipment taking every free space in it, a se
Turns out if you were born into the right family you would know just the strings to pull to get whatever you want. For Helen, it helped that her dad was one of the engineers given the contract of building most of Mr. Edwin’s offices and other buildings so all Helen needed to do was speak to Mr. Jorge directly and of course, he could not say no. Seriously, I don’t even know how that man has managed to keep his job when it seems like the student owns the school. It must suck to be the ordinary principal of a rich people's school. After Helen’s announcement that we had some shopping to do for a new look for her, I picked jeans, a white shirt, and a jean jacket to wear after school for this shopping spree. “I don’t have to remind you to get something nice for your roommate do I?” Charlie asked. “Not if she doesn’t ask.” “You’re such a bitch,” she laughed. “But seriously get me something. I don’t want clothes, some chocolates will be nice.” “Yes madam,” I replied her. I hung my jacket
Helen’s car was so light and smooth on the road that it felt as though we were flying not driving. It’s amazing what money can do in this world of ours. The security men at the gate didn’t even stop us as I drove up to the gate, they merely raised their hands in greeting to Helen who smiled at them as we drove past. I made a comment about this to her and she laughed and shrugged. “As that saying goes, everyone has a price.” She placed her hand on her chin and thought for a minute. “Actually I think that saying is rather cruel because Jack and Rick, the security men, probably have families to take care of so when I offered them the money as a bribe to let us out they accepted because they would do anything for their families.” I found myself looking at her from the side of my eyes in a new light. She was nothing like the other massively rich kids in school, nothing like Tyler, Heather, and Christian that’s for sure! She was passionate too. I smiled. Since my move here I’ve made really
There was a buzzing sound in the newsroom when I entered for the meeting Annabel had announced to the crew. Everyone was present. Martin was reading through some news stuff Adeshewa submitted to him and Annabel. As I walked in Annabel looked up and motioned for me to take my seat. “Took your precious time coming eh Underwood?” She said. “I had to submit my latest chemistry report.” As I said this I slanted my eyes at Christian who was seated two seats away from me. His lips were pressed together as though he was trying to suppress a smile. The idiot had gone ahead to submit his chemistry lab report before me and I had to do last-minute work using Charlie’s titration figures to manipulate mine. I had promised myself to read up on chemistry, one of the worst subjects ever as I’m beginning to realize so that I could wipe the smug smile off of Christian’s face any time we had practical to do. But somehow I always forget to read up on the practical stuff when I read my chemistry textbook
“I swear you have the smile of a cat in cream.” I turned slightly to look at Charlie from where I was stuffing my books in my bag. She was narrowing her eyes at me with her arms crossed. “I swear I know you are up to something. You’ve had this really mischievous smile on your face since yesterday and I know you’re up to no good. Come on, spit it out. Tell Mama what you’re up to.” I rolled my eyes at her partly because of her referring to herself as Mama and partly because she was just too observant for her own good. Of course, I was up to something and yes I was up to no good. I raised my hands in surrender. “Yes, you got me I am up to no good. And that’s because I have been pressured to go back to being the bad girl.” She squealed. “No way! You’re really going to finally get back at the Bad Boys Club for humiliating you?” I nodded. She covered the space between us and hugged me while screaming loud enough to burst my eardrums. “Yes! Now we can have some drama liven this place u
Hi there, So this is the end of Bad Boys Club. Thank you so much for supporting this book. I actually started this book a long time ago and it has taken two years to finally finish it. Along the way of writing , however, my creative juices kept flowing but I didn't want to make this book too long the I realized that I could do a sequel to this book by focusing on the characters lives after graduation from Edwin and Co. And if you noticed they are a lot of openings for that, for example, Christian's live story and Tyler's full story along with his dad's connection to Heather and Christian. Also, I will be focusing on Tyler, Heather and Charlie's relationship. So the sequel will focus on their lives years after graduation. I may not be able to start the sequel this year since I have a lot of other books I'm working on but in the near future I will be releasing so stay tuned. Anyways, thanks a l
The junior class 3 outdid themselves with the creative decorations they put up in the dining hall. The light bulbs they put up displayed a variety of colors all over the dining floor. The tables and chairs had been moved aside to allow for open dancing space. Streamers and balloons were hanging from window corners and even from some of the ceiling fans. At one side of the dining was a bar that was set up using the excess drinks rolled out by the outgoing senior class 3 and Jake Newman and some other guy I didn’t recognize served drinks to people. There was also a buffet with a variety of goodies and some of the first and second-year juniors occupied this table as they helped themselves to the food spread out. At the entrance of the dining was a huge banner that read “Happy Graduation!!!” Charlie and I scanned the hall. Charlie wore form-fitting slacks with an open-neck long-sleeved shirt and low heels. She and Tyler came up with the idea to dress the exact same way for whatever reaso
“I appreciate everyone who has taken the time out of their busy schedules to attend our 10th graduation ceremony. It gives me great pleasure…” Mr. Jorge, ever the simp went on and on about what achievements patrons of the school have done, he talked about Mr. Maximilian’s efforts in contributing to the welfare of the staff and students, he spoke highly of the graduating students, you know, all that good stuff we already knew. The majority of the students weren’t even listening to his speech but the parents were because that’s what you do when you grow up, get married, and have kids, you listen to speeches because they become interesting to you in your old age. After praising Mr. Maximilian to the skies he invited the graduating students to the podium for the presentation of their certificates. Looking at them walk orderly and with an aura of maturity around them, it was hard to tell that these year 3 seniors were the same who once threw parties and staggered drunkenly behind the close
“I can’t believe we need a graduation assembly before the party.” Charlie and I were at the hostel laundry pressing our uniforms with hot irons, the pleats on my skirt were razor-sharp as requested by Miss Diana. She came to the hostel two nights after the conclusion of exams to announce the date for the graduation, not that we didn’t know already but her services as matron to the girls required her to give us the information we already knew about. The graduation ceremony for Edwin and Co. is done in two phases. First, the announcement of the achievements of the graduating students, the announcement of the new perfects, the head boy and girl speech, the principal’s speech and Mr. Edwin’s speech, followed by the presentation of certificates to the graduates. For this, all parents were invited but the after-party was strictly for the students. “We never had a graduation assembly at Lake George. I can barely even remember what graduation was like back then but I do remember the booze, t
“Time up,” Ms. Elena announced. “Leave your papers and apparatus on the table and move out. This is your final exam in senior year 2, what an amazing year it has been to teach you all.” Her words were heavy with sarcasm. Students stood up and left the lab one after the other. As soon as they left a cheerful noise erupted as the students of senior class 2 celebrated the completion of exams but Christian and I sat in silence. “Ward, Underwood collect the papers on each slab and bring them to me. When you’re done with that clean up the lab.” Without waiting a second Christian stood up and started picking the exam papers on one side and I did the same on the other side. In a few minutes, we finished with that and submitted the papers to Ms. Elena’s office. “Good,” she said eyeing Christian and me with curiosity. “Now you can clean up the lab until you both work off that tension between you.” Great, she noticed. “Yes ma’am.” We went out and began to rinse the conical flasks, test tube
Over the next week and the week after I had no chance to take Heather’s advice because of my exams. I studied hard with Charlie and let me tell you Charlie is a blessing when she explains difficult topics. Everyone should be blessed with a friend like Charlie Fudge who supports, loves, and looks out for her friends. I had expected her to prod me on what Heather and I talked about but she didn’t ask any questions, we simply moved on from it and went back to being friends and roommates but I know she hopes Heather and I come to an understanding soon. My new friendship with Tyler was also blossoming at a rather rapid pace. When he is not against you Tyler was quite the charmer. He is funny and his carefree lifestyle was just what I needed to deal with the pressure of exams and the knowledge that I would have to confront Christian one day. While he never left Christian’s side he did show his friendliness by shouting my name across the dining hall and playfully slapping my shoulder when we
“I already knew about Christian even before I met him because Tyler couldn’t shut up about his amazing friend.” Heather laughed. “He claimed Christian was intelligent, he was smart, he was cool. I think he looked up to Christian.” That’s not surprising because Christian seems more reasonable and responsible than Tyler. I guess they kind of balance each other, one is reasonable the other is wild and carefree. The perfect fit. “Do you know that the first time I met Christian, which was at the very beginning of our last junior year, he was studying,” she laughed again. “He’s too serious sometimes.” I tried to imagine a younger Christian bent over his book reading. It’s quite like him. Everything about him is contradictory; the intelligent bad boy who really doesn’t do any bad stuff. What secrets does he keep? Why does he have a wall built around himself? “Do you know how Tyler and Christian became friends?” I asked, mildly curious. “Not much, only that they knew each other years befo
“As you already know I was impressed with the view of Mr. Maximilian’s house. I finally understood how he could afford to take care of my mom and me…” The house was huge, at that time the gazebo was still under construction. Rachel’s car drove up the long drive to the front of the house where a maid welcomed both Heather and her mother. The interior was the house was quite impressive for a small-town girl like Heather. Immediately they arrived the maid ushered Rachel into the study where Maximilian was waiting for her. Heather was taken to a separate room where a TV was turned on and a show was running. She wasn’t as interested in the show as she was in the ornaments that adorned the room. There were ceramic figurines of ballerinas, shepherds, and sheep on a shelf, polished bronze, and gold sculptures, and some beautiful paintings were arranged on the wall. The maid who brought her to the room appeared with a tray of juice and chocolate chip cookies that smelled delicious. As soon as
“The first time I met Maximilian Edwin was when I turned 13 I think…” Before then Rachel was beginning to stay out late again and Heather spent more time at Charlie’s than ever before. “Going out again tonight?” Mrs. Fudge would ask. Rachel would laugh and reply. “Yes, I am working late hours again tonight.” But Heather knew she was lying. She knew that because she saw her mom pack an overnight bag containing fishnets, handcuffs, a black whip, and some packets. On one of the packets the words “Cummy edible panties” were written across the black package. And since she had heard her mom tell someone over the phone to meet her at someplace in an hour she knew she was not going to work but was seeing another man. But she didn’t say anything to Rachel, she simply allowed her to drop her off at the Fudge’s, at least she got to study and play with Charlie. The Fudges were very kind to her. Mrs. Fudge baked the best cakes and Heather loved cakes as much as she loved her mom, it was uncondi
