My heels clicked noisily against the terrazzo creating an irritating tune that echoed through the conference room. My hips, which had been accentuated by the long-sleeved, green body con dress, swayed to the tune of my clicking heels as I advanced to the front of the room to make my presentation. All ten pairs of eyes were glued on me, watching me like an owl hunting a mouse.

My back-length hair danced gently in the morning breeze that gushed through the open massive glass windows. A professional smile was glued to my crimson-coated lips.

“You got this, Miss Hammond,” I mumbled in hopes of calming the butterflies that were fluttering in my stomach. I took a deep breath, sighed then commenced my presentation.

The presentation involved the interior design of a recently constructed hotel in California. The hotel was the biggest hotel in the city, owned by LAUREL Industries. I was to present the decor of the new hotel in terms of the colour of the walls,
