Something horrible

"Which way?" I asked him.

"Take a left on this road." he replied.

I turned the key in the ignition and stepped on the gas pedal. The engine roared to life immediately causing me to jump slightly.

"Sorry." Sergio chuckled.

"Don't worry, I'm used to it."

We drove for a bit before arriving at the park. There we stopped in front of the swing sets. I wanted to ask him how old he was when he started swinging, but I didn't. Instead I decided to just keep quiet. Maybe he'll explain it to me if I ask him.

"So, why don't you go play somewhere else? Or do you prefer to sit here and watch me swing for a while?" I asked him.

"No, it's fine." he responded quickly.

"Good." I smiled at him.

I didn't say anything. After a couple of minutes I heard him sigh again. I glanced at him in surprise and saw that he was staring intently at the ground and biting his lip.
