He didn't resist

A large staircase leads up to a second floor and as we walk up the stairs we hear a voice coming from down the hallway.

"What took you so long?" the voice says with annoyance laced in her voice.

"Sorry. I got lost." Romano replies.

She appears from the doorway of the room and makes her way over to Romano.

"And who is this?" she asks as she motions toward me.

"This is my fiancée. She and I got engaged yesterday."

"Oh, congratulations." she says as she holds out her hand to shake mine.

"Thank you." I reply as I take her hand and give it a firm shake.

"Well, I'm sure you want to check in on Romano and make sure he hasn't done anything stupid while you're gone. So, I'll leave you two alone. But please make sure you keep track of my son." she says before heading back into the room and shutting the door behind her.

Romano and I make our way over to a bedroom which has three double beds pushed against the wall. Each bed has a comforter, pillows and a blanket neatly folded on it.
