The Tale

Sameeksha brought Renata to the living room in fresh clothes. She was fine after seeing that there were no injuries on Renata’s body. But what she couldn’t do was get Renata to stop crying.

Renata didn’t tell her what happened that night. She just kept crying. Her heart shattered today and there was no cure for that. Sameeksha kept caressing and patting her back and Renata kept crying. All the girls were worried about Renata. They had never seen her like that and the condition she came in the house was more worrying.

Hazel brought a glass of water for her and made her drink.

“Please drink it. You need it,” said Hazel. “Please stop crying, Ren. We cannot see you like that.”

Finally, Renata took the glass and sipped from it. Her eyes and her nose were running. Valentina gave her a box of tissues.

“Please tell us what happened,” asked Ambrosia, sitting right in front of her on the table.
