Dahlia's POV

Since I had spent the night at Jeff's place, I had to leave his house very early in the morning before he even woke up. I had a meeting to attend and couldn't.be late at all. The last time that I was late, my boss, the manager, and the only one who had the right to fire me had to suspend me for some days for keeping a client waiting.

I needed some time off from work as well so I didn't bother to try and plead with him since he didn't understand. That very day, Oliver ran into some problems with some kids and they were beating the hell out of him. They would have killed him if someone hadn't come to call me and I had to rush over to him and save him so he wouldn't get hurt.

I couldn't tell my boss all that and accepted his punishment with open arms. He had no clue that I was tired of having to come to work all day and staying up late without having any leave like the others.
