2022-09-27 05:30:37She tried listening in class but her struggle was useless, she looked as though she was attentive but deep down she felt uncomfortable as if all eyes were in her and she was center of their attention and she couldn't help but imagine how badly they thought of her in their minds
Finally, half of the classes for her day was over and it was break time, she got into the lunch hall in the school and picked a seat for herself and Lucie.
"You still come to eat as fat as you are"
"She's such a throe"
"You can't even seat well, it's like you got so much flesh that your ass don't need a seat"
"Don't bother going to that table, you might smell like her if you go too close"
"She looks satisfied even before she could get some lunch" they laughed as they passed
They said lot of mean things but she didn't turn to look at them because her tears might show and they will get satisfaction by just seeing her cry so she decided to stay still and wait for them to pass "but how long can you wait" a mind spoke to her.
"Hey, is that tears I see?" Lucie said as she took a seat by Mira's side
"Shuuu, they might hear you" Mira said
"Who?" Lucie turned around but no one was near them
Mira raised her head and looked around too but no one was there "was I just imagining things?" She asked herself
"You are mentally drained" Lucie said
"I need to see my therapist, it's been long I had a meeting with her" Mira said and sighed
"You're just recalling all those nonsense in the past, you're beautiful Mira don't believe otherwise" Lucie tried to encourage her
"Thanks for always trying to lift me up, I'm sorry, I feel like a burden to you" Mira said
"It's nothing, let's eat and get to our remaining class for the day" Lucie replied
Mira dried up her eyes and joined Lucie, when they were done with their lunch they went back to class.
Mira didn't bother to look at her seat before seating down, as she sat down she felt something wet and sat back up, the entire class started laughing at her, she turned to see what was there, it was red paint, it made it seem like she was stained with blood.
"What's going on?" Mrs Lucy asked
The lady walked up to Mira and saw what was making the class noisy but she misunderstood everything
"What's the meaning of this Mira" she asked
"Ma'am I ..."
"Leave the class, you're such a mess" she didn't even let her explain
Mira ran out of the class in tears, she felt so embarrassed and hurt, what can she do but cry.
When she got to the rest room she watched the stain out and changed her gown into her sport wear she carried to wear after school to the gym she planned to enroll in today, but plans changed and she had to go back to her therapist to help herself control her inferiority complex.
She left school immediately and went to her therapist office which was quit close to her house. "Hi Mrs Judy" she greeted as the lovely old lady opened the door for her
"Oh dear, I thought I won't be seeing you again" she said
"I thought I've grown over my demons but it seems like they came back" Mira said
"I feel so sad for you, only what can make them come back is if things are repeating it's self" Mrs Judy said and she gestured for Mira to take a seat
"I don't know" Mira replied
"It's okay dear child, we will go through it together, I'm always here for you okay?" Mrs Judy said
"Thanks" Mira nodded and sniffed
"Now tell me what is the latest issue" Mrs Judy asked
"I hear alot of voices telling me how much they hate me, it's as if this part of the world is not for me, they talk like I'm not human as they like they are seeing something else they hate in me" Mira tried her best to explain even as she was at the verge of tears
"It's okay dear one, you have to tell yourself that you are non of those things" Mrs Judy said
"I've tried, it doesn't work, it works for just a while" Mira complained
"Let's try it this way" Mrs Judy stopped to think for a little bit before she continued
"Why do you believe what they say is true, it means you believe that's why you are reacting this way, but if you don't believe you will stand to defend who you really are deep down, that you are a beautiful, innocent yet smart child" Mrs Judy said
"I feel you're just saying that because you pity me, it's not true. I look at myself in the mirror and I don't know what to feel or thing, I'm just blank so I feel my thought with the description they give of me" Mira replied
"No, that's not how it's done, I'm not also saying this because I feel pity for you, it's because it's the truth and you fail to see it" Mrs Judy pushed on the fact so that Mira can try and understand her perspective of things
"I don't no" Mira said sadly
"You need to learn to love yourself if you want to really walk through the healing process" Mrs Judy said
Mira had nothing to reply so she stayed quiet
"What do you hate about yourself?" Mrs Judy asked
"I hate that I am fat" Mira said
"Just that?" Mrs Judy asked
"Yes, only that" she replied
"Great, let's start from there. Why don't you find a way to get yourself look just how you would love" Mrs Judy said
"You think that will change things?" Mira asked
"It might not change things, because people hate without good reasons they might find something else to hate on when it's gone, but the good thing in that change is that you will get to learn to love yourself " Mrs Judy explained
"I thought of enrolling in a gym" she replied
"That's a big step, I like the idea" Mrs Judy smiled, fat wasn't healthy for anyone after all.
"Thanks" Mira said
"There is one just a few blocks away, you can register today and start tomorrow" Mrs Judy said
"Good idea" Mira got back her smile on her face as she said and stood up
"See you tomorrow" Mrs Judy said and walked Mira out of the office
"Thanks again" Mira said before taking off to her next stop
She got inside the building and asked for details in how to register in the gym, they put her through and gave her days she would be attending and she negotiated price with them before leaving, ones she was out of the building she sighed and placed a smile back on her face, she started trying to be better for herself.
When she got home her mum had prepared dinner and was waiting for her, there was worry written all over her face when she saw her daughter walk in.
"Lucie told me what happened," her mum rushed to her
"I'm fine mum" Mira said
"Oh dear, I can't imagine how you felt" her mum said
"Honestly mum I was so embarrassed at first, but after my meeting with Mrs Judy I feel better" Mira explained
"You went to see Mrs Judy?" Her mum asked to be sure if she heard right
"Yea" Mira nodded and took a seat at the stool by the kitchen counter
"That's great" her mom said and smiled
They eat and called it a night, Mira went up to her room and did some catching up on her studies before going back to bed, just before she closed her eyes she jumped out of bed to get the book she was reading last night and say some positive things to herself so that she would get a peaceful night rest.
"My body is healthy, and I’m grateful" she started

She ended and laid back down on her bed with acceptance of all she had read.
