27: Acceptance

I wake up the next morning and walk downstairs to make some breakfast. I hum softly to myself as I fry up some bacon and hear small footsteps rushing up behind me. "Mama!" A small boy clings to my leg and beams up at me. "Good morning!"

I smile fondly down at my son and ruffle his hair. "Good morning, little pup. I hope you slept well." I feel Naomi's pride as we watch the little one. He is so perfect and sweet and I can't imagine my life without him.
