Lisa's POV
Dom looked at me like I had broken his heart, feigning like I had hurt his feelings. "Ouch, Lisa. I never thought you would say that out loud."
I gave him a sidelong glance, showing him that I wasn't in the mood for his shenanigans.
"How? Explain this to us; we want to understand," Ava asked, and Lincoln nodded, seemingly in agreement with her.
I thought about what to tell them. I couldn't tell them that he had saved me on the night that was supposed to be my death date. There was no need to tell them that I was living as an expired wolf. "We ran into each other some weeks and we sort of clicked. I didn't know who he was at that time and he was being shady about his identity."
It was better this way. If I mentioned that I was friends with Kayden, they would use me as bait to bring him back here. It was going to be the start of a war and I didn't want to be behind any bloodshed.
