"What do you mean by demigods exists?" Antoinette paces the entire length of the podium, her hands moving all over the place. Antoine's mouth is slightly parted, his head and posture rigid as he stares at me unblinking.
I've seen enough movies and real-life scenarios to know how a person is supposed to act when someone tells them that another life exists somewhere in the universe. I grew up knowing that they existed and I am a descendant of one. While I understand that the shock is a natural reaction, I don't understand why it is hard for people to believe that earth isn't the only planet with life on it.
"I know this is a lot to take in at once." Antoinette nods her head in agreement as she continues to pace. "I understand how you're feeling because I reacted the same way also."
Antoine rubs his hands over his face. "So you know when someone's expired from these creatures?"
