CHAPTER 145 – Glee Before Gloom
LISA'S POV
Tonight's party is an informal affair. The reason given to the guests is that the affair can be a homely affair and an opportunity to eat and drink with the newlyweds, it's their last night at the Council before they would be heading to Asia for their honeymoon. Kayden and I both know that the reason he made the party informal is so that I can be near him throughout the night at his side. One last time before I leave forever. I don't protest against the arrangement as I don't want to take anything away from Franc’s and Brandon's celebratory dinner. Deep down, I admit that I am glad the party is set up like this, I wanted to sit with the Order for one last time. Tonight's my last chance to annoy Colton. To see everyone share jokes and laughter. To act as if Kayden didn't crush my heart. I'm hoping France would be a chance to start all over again. I'm sure I can do that.
