Chapter 79

Lyra's POV

When my eyes met his, I quickly backed away. I knew he would come looking for me, I had heard something he surely did not want anyone to find out and I had heard it loud and clear. Devlin was planning an attack on Tristan's pack and from what I heard, it seemed to be sooner than I thought.

I heard Asher's footsteps approaching and I quickly sneaked away. I had spent quite a number of days in this dungeon and I was confident in my ability to hide away or to escape at will. I quickly tiptoed out through the side door where I knew for certain that Asher had no clue existed. It was the door that that guard had brought me in when he had tried to rape me. I couldn't believe that somehow, I was thinking that it had been a good thing. Maybe somehow it was because ita coming in handy now.
