Those words from Lyra had been a bit overstretched. I had heard of such things happening but it couldn't be that Devlin would've pulled up such a move. The pieces werent adding up because there was no way that Devlin would've been abke to know the smell to steal becauee what if Lyra wasn't acrually my mate.

And I have known Devlin all my life and i know for a fact that she had only met Lyra when she started working as a slave and not anywhere else. Lyra had not been particularly interesting until she was taken by the rogues, there had been nothing quite fascinating about her. Yes, ger ugliness had been somethinh worth noticing but if course, it had not been a concern of Devlin's.

Those were the things I used to figure out that Lyra's words had veen farfetched, she wanted so desperately to be known as my mate. It should be a pleasure to be wanted so recklessly by a woman but somehow, I just found it too extreme. It was like she was obsessed with the idea of being my mate. E
