Asher's POV

A foreboding feeling covered my senses. I stared at the person again, now with more scrutiny. He had a baseball hat on his head and a nose mask on his face, hiding his features away from me. He was tall, as tall as I am, or maybe shorter by a few inches.

He was looking at me, still. Bow even stood there just looking at me.

It felt as if time had passed when, in fact, it hasn't. I was simply overtaken by the sheer fear that toiled in my heart.

The smell, the smell was what was familiar to me, but as I looked at him, the physique, the aura, everything felt like Tristan's. But then I recalled how Lyra had stabbed him with a fork, almost ripping his throat apart. No matter how great Tristan was, he surely couldn't have survived that, especially with no help whatsoever.

"Asher."

I raised my head and saw Steven looking at me strangely. He seemed sort of scared, and he had his hand placed on my shoulder.
