Azalea I woke up slowly, my brainstill processing everything that I had experienced. The sun was just starting to peak over the trees and I called out to Lucas. The Alpha's Surprise Mate Miner's Canyon
Azalea We arrived there in the afternoon. It was actually very beautiful here by the Sierra Nevada Mountains. It would be a good place for a pack, the nearest being in Lake Tahoe which was south of Reno. I made a mental note to ask Steve which packs were closest and what their relationship with Logan was. It would always help to have more hands on deck. Miner's Canyon literally looked like it came out of an old western film, just 100 years later. Most of the buildings were still standing, though in questionable condition. We parked in the middle of the town and broke everyone into groups to explore the buildings to assess them. If this was going to be base camp I would want to make sure that the buildings were secure enough for us to spend time in. There was a hotel/boarding house, a bank, a saloon, a store, the jail, a resturant, what was probably a butchery, the doctor's office and a stage coach/post office. AzaleaThey decided that they would tackle the saloon tomorrow as it would be a full day project so they worked on the old doctor’s office. Once it was cleaned out we built shelves and moved some of the boxes of supplies in there. We’d get them put away later.I made a list of things we’d need from the grocery store and send a few of the fae so we could restock our supplies. AzaleaChance brought me everything for my garden and a ton of seeds for which I was thankful. It took me 2 days to set up the garden and to get it growing the way I needed. Tomorrow I would be able to harvest it for the first time. I had a spot in the larder for the fresh herbs to hang and where they could put the fruits and vegies that they picked each day.In the mean time they had had finished everything except the hotel. They had brought the port-a-potties yesterday and put them in place. Today they were building bunk beds for the buildings that were already done as well as picnic tables and benches for the mess hall. Lucas I carried a passed out Azalea into the room where the other fae were resting in recliners and on a sofa. I placed her gently on the bed that was in the room. The other fae looked tired and pale, but they were all awake. Rich and Don had followed me and were talking quietly. Abe had gone off to get someone to get food to the fae. I turned to Don and asked if he had somewhere outside where they had vegetation that they didn’t want - maybe they had somewhere where they wanted to clear the land to build something. Rich realized what I was talking about and explained to Don that the quickest way for the fae and Azalea to recharge was to be in nature, but with being this drained they would most likely take from the earth and plants themselves.
