Finishing Our Weekend

I woke to the feeling of warm breath against the back of my neck and I knew instantly who it was. I snuggled in closer, enjoying the warm feeling as I contemplated this week and what it would really mean. I wanted to give this a chance, more and more. I was surprised yesterday when he didn't demand I go with him and sit and he didn't hover over me either, allowing me space to have fun. I could see him and felt him watching me, but it was comforting and protective versus being smothering.

"Would you like to go for a job on the beach before breakfast?" his voice deep and gravelly from sleep startled me out of my internal contemplation.

I flipped myself over quickly to face him, smiling. "Really? Yes. Can we go now?" I asked excitedly. I always loved my morning runs, whether as human or wolf. They cleared my mind and helped me set myself for the day. Even with everything that happened after my last one I was still eager to go. It would be the best way to shake off
