Chapter 30

CALISTA'S POV

I hadn't had a single morsel of food that night before he threw me into that dark room and he didn't even care from the looks of it.

If somebody had told me that I would be spending the first days of my marriage to the Alpha King in some dusty, dark room that seem to serve as some kind of storage which I confirmed with the number of boxes that I felt with my trembling fingers then I would have said that they were out of their mind.

But apparently, they would have been very visible from the looks of things that were happening to me. I rested my back against the wall when I found it and leaned my arm on a box, my stomach growled for food and my only choice was to beg it to be patient.

The slightest sound was enough for me to have the sudden burst of hope that my husband had come back to release me from this dark prison but then the sound would fade away and he would not be there in front of the door.
