Lucinda's POVFiredunes is captivating and ravishing, and this is coming from someone who has seen, been too and lived in all three packs. We got out the house and we first walked on the open grounds which was even more lively. There were cubs everywhere running around, playing, some being taught things and others being disciplined. Wherever we went, we were greeted with a cute little bow and when Shadow was introducing me, he declared openly that I was his mate.People started calling me Luna, and by the time we were just deep within the woods, I was convinced that everyone knew me."Is it true that there are mythical beasts here?" I've always been curious. People talk about the mythical beasts, but I wanted to know from a person who actually lived here if it was true."Lucinda, we are deep in the forest, and you only asking that question now?" he lift his eyebrows."Are they real?" I giggle, covering my mouth."Of course they are real," he shakes his head in disbelief. "That is lit
Shadow's POV"I am going to marry her tomorrow," I tell Magnum. We were chilling with the guys at the pack house after I left my mate to have her nap. And when I say chilling with the guys, I mean it's me, Telodo, Magnum, and his wolf, Black.Originally, I also wanted to sleep, but Toledo didn't want me to until we came up with a plan on how to officially make her known to our people. One thing I realized with our mate is that she was never given the recognition she deserved. She was always hidden under wraps, always the none important one, and when she was treated like that and she thought that's how she is supposed to be treated when that is not even close to being the truth. And I want to treat her right. She deserves all the recognition that proceeds her and the title that was always hers to keep. I am not sure if she would say yes to the engagement, but no matter what happens, I want to officially introduce her to my people. "Congrats man. So where do you plan on going about wit
Quinnzel's POVMe and Dawn are not on talking terms since yesterday. I am convinced she thinks I am crazy and I am also convinced she is waiting for me to say that I was joking and we go back to living how we were. But I wasn't lying and I don't know what more to tell her. The only thing I am sure of is that she won't be telling a living soul about Arthur and that is the only thing keeping me sane. So this morning, the room was dead quiet and we just went about our day-to-day activities ignoring each other. It was my turn to make breakfast and I made her pancakes with cream, scrambled eggs, and bacon, with 3 slices of toast and freshly squeezed orange juice. When I handed the meal to her, she almost blurted out thanks with a smile but then she stopped herself, and the smile turned into a frown. When I was ready, I left the house and waited for her in the car. Five minutes later, she placed Marie in her car seat and took the front seat. I turned on the radio as usual and we started.
Arthur's POVQuin dropped a call on me and when I tried calling her again, nobody was picking up. I start to panic because I don't know what is going on.Before I can call her again, Queen mother calls and I know it's something to do with Quin so I respond on the first ring."What happened?" my heart picks up pace."Quin, get to her. She is dying," she doesn't say anymore and ends the call. I don't try to understand what is going on, but I know that I have to follow what queen mother is saying."Daddy, mommy isn't okay," Echo utters. We were on our way to the penthouse and we planned on visiting her during the day when we have settled.I turn to him and ask, " Where is she?" I am not even sure if he can find her, but his powers exceed my understanding, and I hope within those powers, he can find Quin. I don't think I can handle another heartbreak, I am not ready nor stable enough for that."She is in school," he clenches his chest, and I can tell he is in pain."What is going on Echo
Quinnzel's POVI wake up in a garden. The one that once belonged to my house when my dad was still alive, well stepdad. The high difference between this garden and the one from home was that this one had a lot of color. There were flower beds of tulips, Tuberoses, chrysanthemum, boat orchids, Madonna lily, Dahlia, and Acanthaceae. Their flowers were also hanging on the trees like it was draped around the trees. It seemed well-maintained and it radiated a lot of delicate ambiance and calmness. I walked around a bit and there wasn't a soul in sight. There was also a pond filled with a lot of fish. There were high trees surrounding the place, and it seemed well protected. I was well, and okay, until I remembered that I wasn't here. I was in my car, in pain, dying.Oh my gosh...Am I dead? I look around, panic starting to kick in. "Well, isn't that a good question?" A woman wearing a Scarlet red tutu dress that was layered with lace appears. She also has a flower hair band on her jet-
Arthur's POVOur ride to Ezra is filled with tiny sobs from both Dawn and Echo and halfway through the ride, I feel a shift. Like a weird shift. I feel Ares disconnect from me for a moment, and then I feel empty. But it wasn't a bad disconnect. It was comforting, but at the same time, it was like something was changing from within. I am not sure what and where that change was happening, or why it was happening, but after a minute, I feel calm, like nothing had happened."Ares," I call him out."Yeah," I notice his voice is now stable and wasn't as weak as before."Did you feel that? The calming wave?" I question him."I did," he states."Do you think it has anything to do with Acai?""I am not sure, but I don't feel like I am fading anymore. Like, the pain isn't bad as it was, but it's like I am in the middle of death," he explains. "More precisely, Acai isn't dead anymore, just floating in darkness, but safe,""How?" Does that mean she met the goddess and she bought her back to life
Arthur's POVWhen we get home, the gloomy side of Dawn is back. She is no longer hyped about the scenery. It's like the realization hits that her friend is half dead. She looks at Quin, and tears just voluntarily come out and she holds on to her like it's the only thing she knows. I notice that Echo wiped away the blood that was coming out of her ears and her hands weren't that cold anymore."Thank you, son," he nods and we take her inside. Nanna Ave is waiting by the door and the moment she sees her, she goes into shock mode. "Oh my gosh, no...it can't be no," she tries to grab Quin but shock overpowers her, her knees fail her but Sabre catches her before she touches the ground. We get inside, with Dawn still holding onto Quin's hand, and we take her to my bedroom. When we get there, Queen Mother is already waiting for us. I place her gently on the cover and I look at her for further instructions, but she chases us all out of the room."Why?" I ask her."The room needs to be quiet
Lucinda's POV"Excu..se me?" I stop. Marriage?? I don't recall talking to Shadow about any of that. Is he just going to do things without my permission? What did I expect? He is my mate, yes, but Alphas do what they want. Arthur is a good example of that. When they are done with you, after having used you, broken you, they toss you aside."Do you know when Alpha Shadow decided on this?" I ask, starting to walk again, but my pace went from excited, to just flat-out disappointed. "Yesterday evening. After you fell asleep. He went to the pack house to talk to Magnum. I was coming from visiting my mom and I kinda overheard them talking and,""What exactly did Shadow say?" I grab her arm and stop. She is startled and I immediately let go of her."I am sorry. What did he say?" I repeat."Well he,-he" "Meriya..." Shadow calls her out and she stops. We both turn and look at him."I see you doing your best and keeping it quiet." I can tell his remark is a bit stark."I, well..." she starts f
