Randall's eyes shone with fascination as he absorbed every word. "What about the death of the stars? What happens when they reach the end of their lives?"

What remains of the star's core is compressed into an extremely dense structure called a neutron star or, in more massive cases, a black hole."

Randall's face showed a mixture of admiration and surprise. "It's amazing to think about how these cosmic events can occur so far away from us. How long would it take for this information to reach humans in our world?"
