Silas cut me off, “I did not ask for an order and if you send me away, don’t bother talking to me again.”

Then he abruptly cut the phone off and I could only stare at the phone in shock with disbelieving eyes.

Clarissa’s family were all huddled together, crying and sobbing in each other's arms, comforting each other while I sat alone.

A mirthless chuckle escaped my lips. I was alone as I had always been. I decided to close my eyes and rest for a bit to catch my breath.

I could hear the faint murmuring of everyone besides me and soon there were a few people being brought in for treatment.

Those who had not sustained grave injuries were likely treated by the pack doctor but those who were severely injured were brought to the city hospital.

I was not sure at what time I fell asleep but I was woken up by someone’s gentle nudge. I lazily opened my eyes to see a face smiling at me.

“Clary…” I breathed as I saw her smiling nervously at me. My heart skipped a beat and nearly jumped out
