65| I’m Sorry.

I've been sensing my wolf for a while now, but I'm not sure she's entirely back. But her presence is enough to show these kids who's boss.

I don't need to do much. They look at me expectantly as I call for my wolf. And when I say call, I mean summon for a flash of a second.

I'm sure my eyes changed colour because I saw things differently a second ago. I raise up one of my hands in midair to see the fur already sticking out with the skin, battling to come out.

I hear the kids horrified gasps, and I decide that they've seen enough.

I push back my wolf and close my eyes as I struggle to regain full control of myself. It takes me a few seconds, but once I do, the triplets stare at me like I'm otherworldly.

"Mummy, you just—your eyes, your hand. You, you, would you look at that?” For the first time ever, Dylan is actually speechless.

I can't believe it.

If this is what it takes to shut these children up, then I should've told them this years ago.
