CHAPTER 130: MEETING THE ALPHA.

Their walk was shorter than an hour, filled with absolute silence as they both much into conversing. When they arrived, Jack opened the door to the small house.

“Here we are,” he announced.

Lana gave him a weak smile. “Thank you,” she said.

Jack nodded.

It was just a mini space with a bed, reading chair and table, and a duffle bag. That was it. Nothing fancy and big. It seemed like those houses that you could easily leave behind while making a run.

The floor creaked because it was made of hardwood as well as the wall and roof which wasn't high.

“You can rest in the bed for a while, and we will figure out what next to do or find what to eat,” Jack proposed.

Lana nodded in agreement. She was tired, and her body ached to her. Resting wasn't a terrible idea.
