Finding Out that He's An Alpha

"Yeah," I said slowly in agreement and lowered my head. “You are right. I have no choice but to come back home when there is no one to believe in me in the first place.”

“Right,” he said. “And there is nothing you can do about it.”

He put his hand on my knuckles. He caressed my hand carefully, and I watched it discerningly. I am amused by the fact that he did not even try to avoid his gaze. He just kept watching me, and before I was uncomfortable. Now, I am clinging into it because it makes me feel safe.

“But I am here, Elizabeth,” he whispered huskily, the reason why I lifted my gaze so I could see the glimmering sparkles of his red eyes that were hit by the sunrays through the window. “I am here beside you, because I believe in you.”

My heart constricted because of the ponderous weight of his words. I slowly smiled at him to show that I appreciate what he is doing to me.
