"Have nothing to wear," I whisper to Kayra, who rolls her eyes. We are in my room. We told Richard we were going to have sleepover, trying to keep Meg from finding out about it because we don't want to break her heart from her.

"Don't worry," she says, while she rummages through his suitcase, "I have some dresses here that should fit you well."

She puts a couple of suits on my bed, the first is intense salmon, loose in the front, but it fits at the waist with some black leather straps and has a full skirt that reaches mid-thigh, at back side it has a neckline that reaches the middle back, which is intertwined with a leather strap, equal to the one in front. The second is satin, with three-quarter sleeves and a neckline at the front, which fits at the bodice and flares at mid-thighs. Both are perfect to wear with my black ankle boots, but I go for the first one as it makes me look a bit medieval.

Kayra has no choice but to put on the second one. Since we are both about the same size, the suit fits me like a glove. Moreover, when I look at her in the mirror, I realize that she is very similar to me, the same skin tone, the same upturned nose, the tone of eyes is the same bluish gray, but, where she has red hair, mine is ink black.

"We just need makeup," I tell her, and we both get ready to makeup our faces.

"Perfect!" Says Kayra, who sends a message to Velkan "he's downstairs," she adds, and we both go carefully to the door. Richard stayed meditating all afternoon, so he must be sleeping in his room like he always does when he puts on that, and if all goes well, he'll be there when we get back.

Or so I hope. I feel guilty because I had never lied to him. He's always been nice to me, so I feel like I'm betraying him. I don't want to lose his trust on me, but, on the other hand, it's not that I'm going to run away with someone or rob a bank; I'm just going to have a good time with guys my age.

The last time I went out I was with Velkan at his prom. He didn't have a partner and I didn't have a dance, because the only person at Richard's academy was me. It was weird. Velkan is like a brother to me and dancing with him was not what I expected in my first dance.

We get out and make our way to the main avenue carefully, where we took a taxi to the Scarlet Moon club. Music can be heard from the street, so much so that we must raise our voices.

"Going to talk to the security guy," Kayra yells when we're just a few steps from the nightclub. She approaches the goon at the door and Velkan and I wait a while for her to give us the signal to enter. When she gestures to us, we go through the threshold. Kayra deposits something, when she takes his hand to greet him.

"Friends and I have a booth," she yells again over her shoulder, as she drags Velkan, and I follow behind him.

Now I think about it, she shouldn't have friends here, with her just moving in and such, it would be normal for her to wait to adjust. After that comes the parties and sneak outings or that's what the guys do at Richard's house.

I think I'm getting cowering from being here. The music is loud, and the lights make me a little dizzy, there are sweaty bodies squeezing each other everywhere with drinks they protect from the movements of the other couples. Despite that, we move easily to many tables at the back of the room that are separated from the people by a red cord and another goon that keeps a line out from the sea of bodies.

Kayra whispers something in his ear and he pulls the cord away to let us pass.

At the table are two boys and a girl who surround another whom they look at as if he were a god and I have to say he looks like one, square chin with a two-day beard, profiled nose and pronounced cheekbones. He has dark hair neatly tied up in a ponytail. His eyebrows are bushy and his eyelashes long, framing deep sea green eyes that border a ring the color of the sun. His shoulders are broad and his sweater with sleeves rolled up at the elbows that enclose well-formed arms and torso.

Can’t help but sigh when I see it.

"The drool is coming off, sister," Velkan whispers in my ear and I swallow hard. The boy in turn doesn't take his eyes off me, leaving his mouth parted in such a sexy way that it takes my breath away.

"Kieran!" Says Kayra, pulling us both out of the hypnosis that keep us spellbound, "these are Velkan, my mate," she introduces us, and I can't help but laugh as I think about when a kiss in the hallway of Richard's house turned into a relationship of all the life, "and this is Bianca, the girl I told you about."

"Hello," Kieran greets us, who gives me a mischievous smile, "these are my friends Derrick, Frans and Astrid."

"Nice to meet you," Velkan and I tell them, shaking hands with the others and we sit down. Astrid's platinum blonde gets closer to Kieran, and I let out a grunt of hatred that surprises me, so I suppress it before anyone hears it, but it's late, because Kayra next to me notices it and laughs.

"Easy, beast," she whispers in my ear, "she means nothing to him."

Try to control myself, after all what can I care about what two people I just met have. But he's too sexy and I can't get it out of my head.

"Come, let's dance," she invites me, and I follow her. She drags Velkan behind her and he clings to her waist. Already in the center of the floor, we all begin to move to the rhythm of the music, shaking our hips and putting our hands in the air.

Suddenly my body collides with something hard, and I feel hands that take me by the waist and when I turn, I realize that it is Kieran, who puts his face on my neck, breathing up on my sensitive skin, which makes me electricity runs to all the points where his breath touches me. I'm in a kind of trance, but I force myself to come back to myself, embarrassed. This is not OK. Try to pull him away, but he wraps me even more and I can't help feeling ecstatic with his body so close to mine. He begins to lead me to the beat of the music, and I do my best to release his embrace from me.

"Mine," he whispers in my ear, and I shudder, sliding my back against his chest and sucking in his breath when I try to see his face. This is not normal, and this is not me, but I can't stop my body from reacting to his.

"Wait!" Tell him when I try to release his hands from my waist. He's not trying to resist this time, so he lets me go easily and I sigh in frustration because deep down I miss his touch. My back claims contact with his chest.

"I'm sorry," he says, as he separates from me to return to the table without looking back. Velkan takes my hand and turns me around while he gives another to his new girlfriend and brings us both close to his chest and I forget a bit that Kieran just left with his platinum girlfriend.

It's not that I have a crush on him or anything, he's a stranger, but I like him too much. Velkan unrolls us and crosses us and then does a pirouette and stands between the two. A while later and after sweating like crazy, we return to the table, where they wait for us with some sweet, green and refreshing drinks.

"Drink," says Derrick, who gives Kayra and me a glass, "we order drinks for you two, I hope you like it," he adds while Velkan decides to have a beer from the ones in one of the buckets.

"Thank you very much," Kayra and I answer at the same time.

I don't use to drink, but since we're in a club, what difference does it make. Hope I don't get drunk. Not that I've gotten drunk before, but I've seen in movies how people do stupid things thanks to alcohol. A couple of drinks won't hurt, plus I have Kayra and Velkan with me and it's not like I know Kayra very much, but Velkan has proven to be my brother. Drink it so fast I feel hot when I finish it.

"It's mint liqueur," says Derrick, "girls like it," he says, as he pours me another round and this time, I drink it more calmly.

"No thanks," I tell Derrick when he tries to give me another drink.

"Then, tell me about yourself," Kieran tells me very close to my face, "apart from being so sexy, what other things do you do," he tells me, and I blush.

"I'm not so sexy," I tease, "I am just midly sexy or normal sexy."

"You're so sexy, that's a fact, end of discussion," he continues flirting and all the blood rises to my cheeks of him.

"Well," I tell him in a mischievous way, "you are midly sexy and that is a fact, end of discussion," I tease, and he smiles. Frans tries to pour me another drink and I wave at him to stop.

"Midly sexy!" Says Kieran "They have told me sexy, even god, but never midly sexy," he says passing his hand over his head, "I think I'll have to check what I'm failing," we both laugh, "seriously, what do you do."

"Well, I'm a future law student," I tell her very proud, "I'm going to college in the fall," I clarify, while again rejecting Derrick who is serving everyone a round of drinks.

"This is getting boring!" croons Astrid, "girls, let's dance!" She orders us and Kayra drags me onto the dance floor without even saying goodbye to Kieran.

In the center of the floor, we begin to dance. I feel a penetrating gaze on my back and when I turn, I realize that it is Kieran, that he seems to want to join us. Choose to ignore him.

Then he signals to everyone at the table, and they move through the sea of people to join us. Kieran gives Astrid a spin and then gives me another. Derrick comes back with Frans, both with bottles and glasses for everyone and they hand them out, serving the green liquor to everyone. It's delicious and I drink it in one gulp.

Lose my shyness and unleash my hips. Frans refills my glass and I hit back-to-back with Kayra who follows my movements. Kieran reaches out and clings to my body from him and squeezes me to his chest, so close that we become one with the rhythm.

Derrick refills my glass, and the contents disappear in two seconds, as I'm circling around my new friends. Kieran tries to catch me again, but I play to dodge him, while I rejoin Kayra and Velkan who make a sandwich with me.

Then Frans refills my glass. We are having such a good time at this club… what was its name? ... never mind, it's the best place ever. The lights are so funny, and people make funny faces.

This is fantastic!

Start to howl with happiness and the others do the same. Kieran catches me and turns me many times, then passes me to Derrick who does the same and Velkan continues to turn me. We should do this more often, with all my new friends, including Frans who doesn't laugh, but he's my new best friend. That liquor is great.

And the lights start to go out.

"Easy," a woman's voice tells me, “It will soon pass."

Vision is clouded, or I don't know if I'm losing consciousness. They drag me through the sea of bodies that dance on the floor. Or they carry me, but I'm not sure, because I don't own myself. All my muscles look like spaghetti, and I can't control them. The environment changes and the air feel cleaner, but I feel that I am not walking, rather, I am carried in the arms of someone who places me in a seat, but I am not sure if it is from the sections of the club or if it is the part back of a car.

Then I don't know more about me.

I feel scared. I don't quite remember how I got here or where I am or who these people are. "We can't give her more drugs, what she took was enough to put a horse to sleep," says a girl, "but she drank it all like water, she has too much resistance to liquor or to liquor plus drugs, in any case." "What did you expect of her, Astrid?" Another girl says, whose voice I recognize, "her liver must process what they put on her, alcohol, drugs, whatever. "What?" I make fun of Kieran when we are in his room, "do you need an excuse to get a woman?" My lips are pursed with rage and my mouth is still dripping poison, "try to touch me and I rip your head off." Kieran laughs out loud at my threat. It's true, he's huge, he must be about six feet four inches tall, and his body is very muscular, so a small thing like me shouldn't stand a chance in comparison. That doesn't mean that I'm going to make it so easy for him, if he thinks that I am going to fall at his feet, he is very wrong. "Why don't eat and stop threatening me?" He says laughing, trying to get back to his cold position without succeeding, "I just want you to be well and you're hungry, that's why you must eat." "If you want me well, take me home," I snap, "do you know how difficult it is for an orphan girl to get someone to care for her?" "It's going to be fine, my alpha," I hear Velkan say, who is sitting on the bed next to mine. Eyes are narrowed and the pain in my side draws a groan from my mouth. "Are you sure?" Kayra asks him in a shaking voice "that branch was stuck between her ribs, and it must have punctured her lung. She was drenched in blood. From what I know, she must have even pierced his heart." "Remember who she is," Velkan replies, but before he continues, I try to sit up. "And who am I supposed to be?" I tell him, looking at my side. The pain diminishes little by little as if I had taken some pain medicine and now it was taking effect, "and I think you two are exaggerating, I just scratched myself, look," I show Kayra, who is putting her hand to her mouth. The medicine or whatever they recently gave me to take effect and now I am much better. I sit on the bed edge still weak and look around me. He runs his hands over his face several times, leaving one hand stroking his three-day beard, as he does every time, he is speechless. But I have too many things to say, and I don't have time for him to take the courage he needs, so I break the awkward silence. "How did you get there first than us?" Richard looks at me in surprise, because I'm sure he didn't expect that to be my first question. "We took a plane," he answers me, "they told me that they took you by car and it was fine, it is more difficult for them to detect you," he adds as if it were normal to use the word "detect". I deep breath. I think neither he nor I can wait to think about this for another second. "Is everything they told me true, Richard?" I ask him. "It depends on what they have told you, Bianca," he answers me, "the great truth is th

A loud scream wakes me up, but I still feel a little dizzy, so I don't open my eyes yet. "Reject her!" Says a female voice, which I think is Astrid. "Even if I wanted to, I can't, she hasn't been transformed yet, she doesn't even know what I am," Kieran replies annoyed. "And what will you do then?" She asks him, "are you going to leave me?" "I ... I don't know," he replies, "I still don't know what to do, Astrid." He pauses, there's a lot of tension in the air, so I close my eyes more. "Work it out, Kieran," Astrid adds, "she can't be your Luna, she doesn't know anything about the pack, and she doesn't even care about our world. I will always support you, I will know how to be a better Luna, this is my pack, I grew up here and I will do everything to carry it forward as you need. It wouldn't hurt to see a familiar face, even if I'm still upset by all his lies. "Yes, but a beautiful bitch,'' he answers near to my ear, placing his hand on my bare back, by the neckline that reaches my black dress waist with three-quarter sleeves and whose pencil-shaped skirt covers the middle thigh. He is dressed in a black shirt with two buttons opens and rolled up on his arms, which draws all the muscles of his torso and arms. His pants are black too. In the basement of the huge pack house is the dungeons. But they are not what I expected. The corridors are quite clean with good artificial lighting. The cells are like small rooms, with a bed and not a cot, a bathroom and a nightstand with a lamp and a shelf above the bed where you can put some books. Or at least that is Richard's cell, who placed the nightstand near the bars so that he could play cards with Velkan, who keeps him company. They both look at Kieran and me with raised eyebrows. Then I look at Richard carefully. His blue-gray eyes are very similar to mine, as are his chin and his cheekbones. His brown copper hair is similar to that of his brother, Maikan. Before I didn't pay attention to it, except occasionally when I accompanied him to the supermarket or to buy clothes, even on summer travels, some people would go with their children by the hand or play with them or simply smile with each other. In those moments I longed for Richard to really be my bl
