(Celina’s POV)

After almost a week of us being there, it was time we actually followed through with our plans to travel and see the world. I had no idea how we were going to start that journey but I was trying to be carefree.

“Tomorrow?” Brody asked, surprised when we told him we were leaving, “I think it's too soon for you to go.”

I smiled, “You knew this day would come; why are you being weird?”

He pulled me in for a hug, saying, “I enjoyed your being here, and I am not ready for you to leave.”

“Don't worry, I will keep an eye out on her like I have always done.” Austin chimed in.

I chuckled as I pulled back from the hug, “You wouldn't have to; Lucas will be coming with us.”

“He will?!” Austin and Paige said it in unison.

Paige sounded excited, but Austin didn't seem too pleased with the revelation.

(Landon’s POV)I had been trying so hard to give Celina her space like she asked me to. I even stopped being creepy and following her all the time, not that she knew I followed her.Isabella entered the bedroom smiling, “How about we do something today, just the two of us?” She asked in a chirper tone.I sighed.“Not feeling it.” I said as I walked out of the room.I hated myself for being a terrible mate, but I didn't ask for this; she wasn't who I wanted and Connor knew that. But apparently being a young Alpha doesn’t leave room for much of a choice.Deciding to just maybe visit the cabin as Celina would be at work, just to be around her scent. Help me feel closer to her in someway.I reached the cabin, and it wasn't as spotless as it usually was. It was dusty, like no one had been there in days.I frowned, then I started to panic.Did something happen to her?

I looked up, and I was cuffed to the bed.Everything slowly started to come back to me.I looked around as I started to slowly adjust to the darkness.I could see the cages close to the wall, and when I looked to my side, there was Paige, also cuffed to the bed like I was.“Oh, thank goodness, we thought you were dead.” She exclaimed with relief in her voice.“How long have I been unconscious?”“Too long.” Austin’s voice came from the darkness.“We were starting to worry that you were dead. So was the old dude, who has been checking up on you from time to time.” Lucas stated.I sighed. “Why am I chained to the bed?”“Probably b

(Celina’s POV)I was hesitant to leave the place without having found the answers I was looking for.Lucas had helped me gather what looked like journal pages from the basement, and we brought them to the table upstairs as we settled on the couch and started going through them.We must have fallen asleep in the middle of it. I was woken up by Austin’s loud single clap.Lucas sat up straight, ready to defend himself. Instincts. As I was leaning on him, his sudden movement also made me wake up.“What is going on?” I asked, my voice groggy.“What were you guys doing all night?” Austin asked as he went to pick up a piece of paper.“Don't!” Lucas and I said it in unison.Austin frowned as his eyebrow raised. “What is all of this?” He asked.“We brought up almost everything that had been written on down from the basement.” Lucas replied.“Then why are they spread across the table?” Austin further inquired.“Because,” I stood up to go make some coffee, if this guy even drank coffee, “we foun

(Isabella’s POV)I had yet to get information about the whereabouts of Celina.I liked her, and I wouldn't do anything to harm her otherwise, but I couldn't have myself go back to what I used to be.Even though my new look didn't seem to faze my husband, it did make other male werewolves notice me. It felt like, for the first time in my life, I was the center of attention not my sisters, and that wasn't something I wanted to let go of.Threatening Celina's life didn't exactly put me in a good spot with Landon, but I needed to find a way to make sure he marked me before he found Celina.I knew he wasn't going to sit around and wait until I found her.But I had set a plan in motion.I approached him as he worked with other werewolves and asked, “May I have a word with you?” I asked, knowing he wouldn't say no. He had kept up the appearance that we were a fairly good happy couple. He gave me a smile that didn't reach his eyes as he said, “Anything for my

(Austin's POV)I was starting to question whether this journey we were on was a good idea.We had been met with so many obstacles and problems, yet here we were in the middle of another one.“Why do we have to freeze in place when you are the ones who are in our room?” Paige, who never seemed to know when to read the room, spoke up.“You do know I'm holding a gun to your head, right?” The man behind us stated.“But are you man enough to pull the trigger?” She asked as she turned around, as if to see for herself that the guy had a gun, as if the sound of it cocking wasn't enough to convince her.“Put your hands up!” The other man, who was inside the room, demanded.“I think you guys should leave.” Celina spoke up.“Probably not the right time to be confident, right now.” I warned her.I didn't know why I was so afraid of anything. I could easily disarm the man behind us in less than a second, but it takes the same amount of time to fire the gun. Th

(Celina's POV)We were finally about to reach a major city. It was major in the sense that it had a lot of people and businesses that the towns we had been in lacked. We needed to pause there; we were out of money and needed to find new jobs. While Paige and I weren't lucky enough to get jobs immediately, Lucas and Austin were. They found jobs in these factories. It was a minor job, but it paid enough to helps us manage to survive, and that's what mattered. We lived in a boarding house with other young people. Cheap rent, but terrible living conditions.Lucas and Austin walked into the house. They didn't seem exhausted; I'm guessing with their werewolf strength, carrying around boxes wasn't anything that made them that exhausted.“How is job hunting going for you guys?” Lucas asked.“Jeez, if you want us to go to work, just say that,” Paige spat.I frowned, and Lucas seemed taken aback. He was about to speak, but I shook my head.“Unfortun

(Paige's POV)I loved the kind of life I was living right now.Hoping from one town to the next, living life to the fullest without having to worry about much. It was my dream life.It would have been great if I could use my magic to make life even easier but the people I was with would never let me live that down. I could still see them judging me for killing that old man, as if I didn’t just save our lives.I hated living in that small village in the middle of nowhere, where nothing really happened. We lived there for years and the only major thing that happened was Celina and Landon’s little love issues, and that wasn’t that interesting either.I stuck my hand out of the truck as we drove along the highway.Feeling the breeze hit my arm was amazing.“Oh my God, let's go to the carnival!” I shrieked as I shook Austin's arm.“What carnival?” He was confused.I pointed to the big billboard.“I would love to go to a carnival.” Celina chimed in.

(Lucas's POV)I hadn't been to the house in years. There were a few things that were different, like the furniture placement and the new painting hung above the fireplace.“Dude, this is impressive.” Austin remarked.I shrugged. This wasn't a part of my life that I liked to show people. When people find out that you have money, they treat you differently, and suddenly you are the go-to man when they need something. Just like what Paige had said when she saw the house.I was looking at Celina, who seemed more interested in the art than the actual house.Paige, on the other hand, was already upstairs doing God knows what.I snuck up behind Celina and asked, “What do you think?”She was startled. Her hand that was lingering a few inches from the canvas dropped to her side. She giggled, “These pieces of art are amazing.”“I didn't know you liked art.” I remarked. She smiled and said, “I am kind of an artist myself, but not this good.”

I wondered as I looked at the werewolf, strung up like a sacrifice.Landon almost instinctively lunged towards the werewolf, who now had its back turned to us. Celina, I guessed, as I watched him confront the other werewolves, who were now attentive and standing guard.I looked at the door and headed for it. If my research was right, Theresa, the witch, would be able to reverse the curse. It made most people unable to sleep; they actually came out to find the source of the howling on the night before the full moon.“You have to put her to sleep so the rest of our guests can sleep too.” Belinda suggested. There was something going on in this house, but I had yet to piece everything together.“I don’t want to have my guest too exhausted for tomorrow night.” Adolphus, who I had learned was Lucas’ father, chimed in, “The point of coming to stay here is so they can rest up for the full moon while they network.” He mumbled the last part. I guess he forgot that most of us were werewolves. No one wanted to volunteer, so I guess I was the one to do this.I stepped forward, “How do we go about sedating her?
