‘’Good, you’re done. Go get yourself cleaned up. My guests are almost here, and make sure you shower because you will be the one serving our food. I left something for you to wear on the floor in your room.’’

After talking, he pushed Aurora, and she fell. When she was on all fours, he kicked her hard in the center of the back and she cried out.

‘’The sight of you is-‘’ Marcus trailed off when the doorbell rang.

‘’You better hurry and be presentable.’’

Aurora sat up and rubbed her back.

‘’Awe, poor thing.’’ Lilly came to a stop before Aurora. ‘’I heard that you have been fucking my mate again.’’ Lilly slapped her across the face. ‘’You little slut, I don’t see why Marcus doesn’t just kill you. You don’t deserve to be in our pack, only bringing disgrace to our good name.’’

Amelia came into the kitchen. ‘’Are you sure you want to do that?’’ She asked up on seeing Lilly standing over Aurora.

‘’Luna, what? Here for your share too?’’ Lilly walked over to her.

Jane, who was hiding, stepped out and stopped Lilly.

As every pack had a different native tongue, they spoke, so Amelia didn’t understand.

The two females left, and Amelia helped Aurora.

‘’What did Jane say to that woman?’’ Amelia asked.

‘’I don’t know.’’

‘’How so? That was your own language.’’

‘’I just never caught on as a child and after being forced to live here, no-one bothered to teach me.’’

‘’How did you end up here? Don’t you have a family?’’

‘’My parents died, and my aunt doesn’t want anything to do with me. Can I please go? I need to get ready.’’

‘’Oh, you are invited to dinner today.’’

‘’Yeah, as the server.’’

‘’What? No, I want you to sit beside me.’’

Aurora gave Amelia a sad smile. ‘’Thank you, Luna, you are always so kind to me even though you don’t have to be.’’

Aurora walked off after that. She stripped out of her clothes and made her way to the bathroom, and took a cold shower.

When she was done, she got dressed in the old, short red dress that had tiny holes in it and headed downstairs.

Aurora paused after getting a glimpse of herself in the mirror. She had bruises all over and the dress showed that, no doubt, it was Marcus’ attempt to shame her in front of the guests. Both of her eyes were black and blue, her lower lip was busted and scabbing over.

She was also extremely pale because she hardly had a chance to go outside, and she was deathly skinny as well.

Aurora passed Amelia, seeing that she wasn’t dressed up in anything fancy. Aurora stopped.

‘’You are not coming to the dinner?’’

‘’I am, I just don’t feel like dressing up.’’

Aurora looked at her with wide eyes, but at the same time, she admired Amelia. She was the only one who didn’t fear the Alpha.

‘’Ok, just be careful.’’

‘’Trust me, Aurora. I am not afraid of my mate.’’ She opened her palm and fire ignited in it.

‘’Oh, you are one of those wolves.’’

‘’An elemental, yes.’’

Aurora smiled. ‘’I’m guessing that Alpha doesn’t know.’’

Amelia rolled her eyes. ‘’His name is Marcus. You don’t have to be addressing him as Alpha.’’

‘’Amelia, I can’t do as you do. I don’t want to die. I am just a lowly wolf; my parents were Omegas and so am I.’’

Amelia shook her head. ‘’You are not an Omega; you don’t smell like one. Even though I don’t know what you smell like, but you are far from an Omega.’’

Marcus came over and broke up their conversation.

‘’You lazy bitch, you have a table to set.’’

‘’I’m sorry, Alpha.’’ Aurora held her head down.

‘’Are you trying to make me look bad?’’

‘’No, Alpha.’’

‘’I hope not, because I will kill you. Set the table before we are done in my office or else this will be your last day on earth.’’ He walked off after, not even acknowledging his mate.

‘’Why is another pack even coming here?’’ Aurora asked.

‘’It is for a treaty; we all know how the Blood Moon pack is. Rumor has it that this pack and many others aren’t allowed in their territory, so Kyro is here to make amends and change that.’’

‘’You don’t like putting titles before their names, do you?’’ Aurora asked.

‘’Why should I? They all are shifters like me. Hell, some can’t even shift and then there are those who don’t even possess half the power I have.’’

Aurora nodded, knowing that this was true.

Not all wolves could shift into their beast, and Aurora thought she would fall into that small percentage. Then there were an even smaller portion of wolves who possess unique abilities.

Amelia helped Aurora set the table, and it was done in time before Marcus came to see that she had helped.

‘’Good, you are done. No leave. I don’t want to see the likes of you unless we need you for something.’’ Marcus barked.

Aurora hurried away, but as she got to the stairs leading to the second floor, Jacob blocked her.

‘’There you are, little sweet flower.’’ He smiled.

Aurora tried to run past him, but he grabbed a hand full of her chestnut color hair and yanked her back roughly.

‘’Now, let's pick up where we left off.’’

He dragged her up the stairs and Aurora let out a scream, but everyone got used to tuning her out and not caring much, so they made no move to see what was wrong.

Jacob threw Aurora down on the floor of a spear room. She tried to get away from him, but her efforts only made him laugh.

He licked his lips as he stalked closer to her.

‘’I have lusted for your body so long. Now is my chance to get my fill.’’

He grabbed her up, ignoring the fear in her green eyes, and put her to sit on the dresser.

‘’As much as I want to be buried inside of you, I will have to hold back. Can’t let the useless pack that is coming to visit smell me all over you.’’

Jacob forced his mouth on hers, then used one hand to grip her breast and the other to move under her dress.

‘’Please don’t do this. My mate.’’

Jacob pulled back and laughed. ‘’Do you really think a filth like you will ever have a mate? You will me nothing but the pack’s whore.’’

With a crocked smile, Jacob stooped before Aurora and pushed her dress up.

‘’Smell so good.’’

All she could do was sit there and cry while he ripped her underwear off.

‘’Fuck! Look at how pretty your pussy is. I am eager to be inside of you, but I must wait. Oh, and I can’t wait to dive into your virgin flesh.’’

The more he spoke, the closer he got to Aurora’s flesh, and she could feel his hot breath on her.

She cried out when his tongue flicked over her clit, and he laughed.

He put his mouth on her and began to suck, but his actions were short-lived when Marcus entered.

‘’Jacob, our guests are here.’’

Marcus gave Aurora a disgusted look.

‘’You need to be downstairs so you can serve our food.’’

‘’Mate, where are you?’’ The voice came, but Aurora blocked it out.

Jacob forced his mouth onto hers once more.

‘’And again, you are saved by the Alpha.’’ He laughed, then left the room.

‘’I don’t know why you keep doing this, but just you wait until Lilly finds out that you have once again seduced her mate.’’

Aurora couldn’t believe she was being blamed for Jacob’s actions, but then again, she was blamed for everything.

‘’Mate, what is wrong? I can sense your sadness.’’

‘’Can you just leave me alone!’’ Aurora yelled at the voice in her head.

‘’Who are you?’’

‘’It doesn’t matter,’’ Aurora told the voice.
