Chapter 409 - Waterfall

It was the morning before the full moon when Harriet opened her eyes. The weather was cold, but her body was covered in layers of blankets and fur coats. She wondered where it came from.

The small shack was in shambles.

The old bed frame and the table broke. Harriet was lying on top of a bedding Liam took from the top of the bed. She guessed that the man had left for the nearby town to buy her more necessities.

"Hmm..."

Harriet turned her head to the other side of the room. She saw Liam sitting in front of the fireplace, wearing another fur coat on his shoulder. He was peeling some apples.

"Good morning," the man said in a hoarse voice.

Harriet pulled herself up but immediately realized how sore her body was. "Woah..."

When was the last time her body felt this sore?

Maybe never...

"Good... morning
