~ Alister's POV~

A whine sounded in the room, pulling him out of his thoughts. Keita was still standing at the same spot looking too bold to be a child. He couldn’t possibly had killed a wolf who was perhaps ten times bigger than his size right? Because the sound had not come from him, but rather the other wolf in the room.

What shocked Alister was that instead of the wolf to be attacking Keita or stalking him, ready to tear the child to pieces, it was whimpering at the corner of the room, looking scared. Why would a wolf look scared?

Alister was confused and didn't know what to make of the situation. Why would a wolf be afraid of a child? And why hadn't it attacked Keita? Before he could process what was happening, Luciana pushed her way past him and rushed over to Keita.

She wrapped the child in a tight embrace, whispering comforting words in his ear. Alister could see that the boy was shaking with fear, but also with adrenaline. He must have been terrified during the attack.
