Chapter 96: Out of Breathe

My heart was racing as I hurried through the woods of Gaiasania. I was constantly looking at my back to see if Alpha Abbadon was in sight or if any of his Beta's were closing in on me.

To my delight, there was still no one directly behind me and I could not hear any voices or footsteps either. The problem though was that Alpha Abbadon was very stealthy - he didn't make a lot of noise when he moved and it was almost impossible to tell if he was directly behind me or not. I hope the decoy of my trail left by Aria confuses him and keeps him wandering the woods searching for me for days. If it fails to, he would be upon me sooner than I had hoped.

What do I say to him if he asks me why I ran away? What do I say to him when he asks me why I faked my own death? Will he allow me continue on my journey back home or would he take me along with him and punish me severely for my actions?

I thought about the questions as I ran and possible also their answers but there was no definite way o
