Avery's pov

I looked at the faces of all those present, I knew all of them wanted me for one reason or the other. Either for power, for influence, for personal reasons or for the sake of it and I knew that I had to pick from one of them. But I wasn't going to make it easy on any of them, they will have to claw their way to get to me.

I studied their faces, just like the elders, I wanted them to know that I was no pushover. It wasn't necessary anyway, I could take down most of the alphas in here. I cleared my throat then I began to talk,

“Today, we've all gathered here for one reason and that is that all of you present are interested in becoming my alpha. I have a lot of suitors and for this reason, I have decided to hold a competition of sorts where the winner takes me as a prize.”
