Averys pov

“Who are you?”

My eyes narrowed as I retreated, that attack just now was very fast. He was as strong as my father said he was, probably even stronger. I stared at him, he was now at my previous location. I had my guard up but I knew it was probably useless, he was too fast for me to keep up.

I packed my hair into a tight bun all while making sure my eyes never left him for a second. He stood where he was, gazing at me intently. I could see it in his eyes, to him I was not a threat, I was just a bother. I smiled as I took off my coat. I knew I was going to be fighting today and that was why I wore a pair of jeans and heeled boots.
