Aurelia's POV

I sensed an element of truth in Beta Aaron's words, the bounty hunters might truly be unto us, and there was no telling what they will do to us if they set their eyes on us.

“Don't you think you should find a way to fix your torn clothes?”

Aaron asked after we had cleared up the firewood site to confuse our trailers as to our location.

“No, I'm fine. We have more pressing matters at hand.”

“Are you sure about this?”

“I'm very sure,” I bent down, grabbed the bag on the floor, and slung it over my shoulders.

Aaron didn't look convinced. In fact, there was an incandescent glimmer of concern on his face, but I ignored it and walked past him, in the direction of the only pathway in the forest.

“How long till we get to the coven?”

“We should arrive in 5 hours from now,” he answered. “The women will be very glad to receive you or they might just be the opposite.”

“What!”

I stopped in my tracks, my eyes widening with shock. I spawn around immediately.

“Do you mean they

Aurelia's POV “Save us,” Miss Claire uttered again, blood gushing out of her nose and dripping all over the floor.“I think you should slow down.” I took the box from her and placed it beside me. “Let us find a way to stop the bleeding and heal you.”“No, I don't have much time…”I ignored those words, and proceeded to lay the middle aged woman on the floor, but her eyes suddenly went wide in their sockets. And before I could do anything, she suddenly went stiff and fell back, still. “Miss Claire,” I called out, grabbing her arms and shaking her vigorously. “Please stay with me. I can't do any of this alone. I don't even understand anything you've said. Please…”But the woman only remained still, and lifeless. With my eye swollen with unshed tears, I rose to my feet, blood trickling from my hands.A myriad of emotions invaded my mind, leaving my heart pumping with an intensity that threatened to rip it apart. I felt guilt, grief, anger, and the worst of it all, fear. I could never

Dante's POVThe dungeon was cold, damp, and reeked of fear. A place fitting for traitors and those who dared to cross me. And there she was, Luna Gladys, shackled in chains, staring defiantly at the wall, her back to me. It would be amusing if it weren’t so pathetic.“You should have stayed hidden, Luna,” I said, stepping into the dark cell, the iron door clanging shut behind me. My voice echoed off the stone walls. “But we both knew your time would come.”Luna Gladys remained silent, her eyes fixed on the stone floor. She had seen better days—her once regal posture now slumped, her once immaculate robes now stained with dirt and blood. But the spark in her eyes remained; the defiance was still there, though dimming with every second.I paced slowly in front of her, my boots clapping against the cold floor. “You know why you’re here,” I said, circling her like a predator toying with its prey. “Tell me who the Queen of the Andals is.”She didn’t flinch. “I owe you nothing,” she said qu

Djurek's POV I knew starting a border issue would be the wisest thing for Allison's parents to attempt in order to disturb me and stir up rebellion among my people. The news came as soon as I warned Aurelia not to leave for Luna Gladys's women coven. “Your Highness,” the voice of the head of my king's guards called out. “There is trouble at the Red Keep.”“Oh no!” I jumped to my feet immediately and dashed towards the door, grabbing the knob and pulling it aside. “What did you just say?” I questioned again, my heart threatening to rip out of my throat. The tall huge man transferred his gaze to the floor and took a few steps backwards as if to avoid me spitting fire on him.“I am asking you a question! What did you say is going on at the Red Keep?” “I am sorry your Highness, “ he stuttered. “But Allison's parents have joined forces with Dante and they are trying to force all the wolves in their clan to declare for Dante.” My blood turned to ice in my veins as I struggled to ret

Djurek's POV “This is your last warning, Eloria. Unhand my men and get out of the way. I have shown you enough kindness, don't make me do what the two of us would regret.”“Oh regret!” She let out a mocking chuckle as she suddenly plunged her sword into one of my men's back. An involuntary gasped escape from my mouth as the man's lifeless body dropped to the ground with blood spurting out of his mouth.“Will you regret that now, the fake king of the lycan Kingdom?” Eloria's eyes were full of deathly complacent and menace. She placed the bloody sword on the floor beside her as she started advancing towards me. The glassiness in her eyes and the growing tension and the atmosphere brings back ugly memories. I should have stole that, I should have ripped her head off and neck when I had the chance to. But I thought she would get a change of heart, repent of her misdeads and become a devout worshiper of the goddess. But rather, she chose to continue a dark and evil magic in servitude

Djurek's POV “Make sure you find Eloria, and bring her to me. Whether dead or alive”“I doubt she's alive, your grace,” Eric answered, as he stopped to open the carriage for me. “The wounds she sustained to the face were fatal, I doubt she hasn't lost an eye.” “Hmmm. I did feel her skin ripping under the sword, but I don't think she will die. There are things I need to extract from her, crimes she needs to confess to.” I climbed into the carriage and shifted to the far end of the seat, close to the window. After Eric had locked the door we continueed the journey. “The Darnish are very surprised that you caught wind of their plans earlier than the expected.” He commented, pulling a map out of his pockets and spreading it on his laps. “We have to find a leader for their pack as soon as possible. " I said. 'We don't want them reverting back to the system of anarchy and Rebellion.”“I don't think I still trust those people. After the incident with their leaders, I am slightly sure t

Djurek's POVThe rain had finally stopped by the time we reached the edge of the Shadow Hunters' hideout, but the wet, heavy air clung to me as if warning me to turn back. I was close to Aurelia, yet something felt off, like a presence lurking in the shadows. My men and I had barely managed to clear out Eloria’s forces in the last battle, and now I was throwing them right into the clutches of her allies, the Shadow Hunters, to retrieve the one person I had vowed to protect. The scent of damp stone filled the air as we approached the ruins, my mind racing. Eloria’s defeat had felt incomplete somehow, as if a trap lay waiting here. When I finally spotted Aurelia in a dim corner of the prison, my heart lurched. She was tied beside Aaron, bruised but unharmed, her eyes meeting mine with a mixture of relief and something else—determination.I knelt to untie her, and she leaned forward, her voice low. “Djurek, you shouldn’t have come here.”“What are you talking about? Aurelia's POV As much as I was furious with Djurek, I couldn't let the fight between him and Aaron escalate into a full-blown brawl. They’d been friends for as long as Djurek could remember, even before he could tell his left hand from his right. The three of them had grown up together—Djurek, Aaron, and Dante. They were like brothers, and it pained me to see them turn on each other this way."We should go home," I urged, gently nudging Aaron back. "What we’re doing here only makes Eloria happy. This is her goal—to see us divided.""Well, I don’t think Djurek cares about that!" Aaron spat, his tone filled with resentment as he struggled against my grip. He tried to break free, his gaze fixed on Djurek with a smoldering intensity. "Djurek’s always been this way. Hot-headed, stubborn—""And what else?" Djurek fired back, his own anger flaring. He took a step toward Aaron, ignoring my attempts to hold him back. "Go on, say it. You left the castle with my woman, and the two of you went o

Dante’s POVMy instincts continued to warn me, whispering that I had made a grave mistake in abducting the Lunar Queen and destroying her entire coven. Each day, I paced into the dark, musty library where I had imprisoned her, hoping she’d reveal the truth. But Luna Gladys remained silent. Starved, weakened, and disheveled as she was, nothing would break her resolve, no matter how many times I came here or what I demanded.“This woman commands thousands of followers,” Griselda said beside me as we approached the room where Luna Gladys was kept. Her voice held a tone of admiration laced with irritation. “And there is one peculiar thing about women.”“What is that?” I asked, barely disguising the impatience biting at my words.Griselda gave me one of her cryptic side glances before shrugging slightly as if to say I should already know the answer. "Women are naturally stubborn beings, Dante. Luna Gladys was able to command and subjugate countless others beneath her control. What made you

“Happy married life Melissa!”I reached for the flower bouquet but she snatched it out of my grasp. “You don't need to shout like I'm a lovesick teenager.”“But Aaron thinks you are a baby,”“No, he doesn't.” She lowered her gaze, but I had already seen the redness crawling onto her cheeks. The wedding was over, and a crowd of guests had begun to file out of the temple. We had just finished saying prayers and were now waiting for the carriage that would take us home. “Aaron thinks you're tender baby Melissa, that is why he is going to make a good husband.”Melissande blushed again, but I could see the affection in her eyes. It felt good to love and be loved back. To have someone who knows you more than you know yourself. Melissa had to suffer in her life and the moon goddess rewarded her with a second chance mate, a good and prudent man. Aaron and Melissa became close after the war with the shamanists, and after 4 months, they became official and now they are happily wedded.“I'm

Aurelia's POV “You seem to like spending time in the library, I have never seen you anywhere else. Do you mind telling me what exactly you gain from here?” I didn't turn around to look, there was no need for me to. Djurek could busy his mouth all he wants, I will not make him head of the council. “You seem to be engrossed in the book you are reading.” He said again, walking closer to my reading table. “What is the title and who wrote it?” His exuded an unnameable aura not to mention how irritated his lavender perfume made me. “I don't think I want to discuss books.” I finally turned to look at him. “there's a lot of things going on kind of and it is up to me to shoulder them.” “And I thought the nurses told you to relax. You have received your due date and you cannot afford to be stressed. The council is going to hold their return tomorrow; let me address them. Give me the list of issues you have been trying to solve. Take a breathe and relax. It is not going to hurt.”

Unknown POV “How sure are you that our plan will work out?”Elio stood on the top of the tower gazing down at the werewolf land from its insurmountable height. The land was oddly still, but it was all for one reason, the Alpha king of the south had gotten into trouble in the land of the Andals. This thought brought a small smile to his face and he nodded satisfactorily. “I like that Djurek has finally gotten the perfect reward for his desperation and theft." He said again. "He went about conquering and making Dante look like the idiot who knew that he had been blind all this while. Oh, I can't wait for Dante to emerge victorious and wipe out these disgusting moon servers.” He squeezed his face in disgust as if these people were nothing but trash. “I hate the fact that that bitch was able to plan a counter action to the move Dante and Romeo had planned.” Gareth said, spreading a scroll map on the table. “I have always known that she was the unknown Queen, I sensed it the instant m

  • The Alpha's Redemption    Chapter Eighty-one

Unknown POV The southern lands broke into an uproar the instant they learned about the misoccurrence which shook Djurek in the land of the Andals. They were particularly agitated about the Darnish’s treachery and their decision to play on the king's intelligence. The Danish were never friends with the king. Every attempt they made to get closer to him was to be able to access the throne of the Southern lands which they saw as their inheritance. Two days after news of the war in the land of the Andals broke out, people of the Southern lands gathered in front of the palace and decided to hold a meeting. The meeting was headed by one of Djurek's soldiers. It consisted of the villagers, as well as the nuns from the moon temple. “Alisson Darnish is in there,” The head of the soldiers, Jackson, said raising a hand and pointing a finger at the magnificent building. “She declared asylum and has doubled the guards in her chambers.” “But which foolish guard will remain loyal to her after

  • The Alpha's Redemption    Chapter Eighty

Djurek’s POV The weight of the battle pressed against me like an unforgiving tide. The rain fell heavier, washing away the blood on the ground but not the memories of those who had fallen tonight. Dante’s body lay broken at my feet, his eyes wide and lifeless. My muscles burned, my wounds seared, but I had survived. I had won. Around me, the tide of the battle had turned. Aaron’s soldiers cut through Romeo’s and Dante’s remaining men like blades through rotted wood. Victory was at hand, but I couldn’t celebrate. The air still crackled with dark energy, a presence that sent a shiver down my spine. I turned toward the castle, my claws sinking into the sodden ground as I sprinted back inside. I passed the bodies of the fallen, both allies and enemies, their lifeless forms haunting me as I made my way toward the main hall. The sounds of battle echoed from within—clashing steel, cries of rage, and the roar of wolves. Then I saw him. Romeo. He was retreating down the corridor, his ste

  • The Alpha's Redemption    Chapter Seventy-nine

Djurek’s POV The hall was magnificent, but to me, it felt like a tawdry. The gold chandeliers above sparkled like false stars, their light catching on crimson banners and ivory curtains draped along the walls. Roses—too many roses—perfumed the air, their cloying sweetness suffocating rather than soothing. Rows of knights lined the edges of the room, their polished armor reflecting the flicker of candlelight, their expressions impassive. The sound of murmured conversation and the occasional clink of goblets filled the space, but I heard it all like distant echoes. The unknown queen stood beside me, her delicate frame hidden beneath an intricate white gown, her face concealed behind a thick lace veil. She held herself with an air of fragility, her hands clasped in front of her as if to hide nervous tremors. But something about her stance was off—too stiff, too deliberate. Romeo stood nearby, his sharp features twisted into a mask of feigned pride. His eyes glinted as he glanced at me

  • The Alpha's Redemption    Chapter Seventy-eight

Aurelia's POV Every day of my life now seemed like a novel or puppet movie one would normally sit and watch at the rowdy village square. I began my life as a slave, tending to people and getting punished for crimes I knew nothing about. I endured starvation, emotional abuse, domestic violence, and even sexual harassment. But I was standing on the land's citadel now, gazing down at the realm in its infinite beauty and hidden ugliness. I am Aurelia Visenya Moonfrost. The unknown Queen of the Andals and Nine Wolves. The daughter of the Moon goddess, protector of the realm, ruler of the wolves and the image of the Moon goddess. I was no longer a slave, this was what the moon goddess had destined me for, and it was only appropriate that I lived up to the title. I would take revenge now, Nicholas, the Lerman brothers, Gareth, Nicholas's family, Dante, Allison and even Djurek. The goddess’s powers now flowed in my veins, and I could feel my bones replaced with irons and stones. This re

  • The Alpha's Redemption    Chapter Seventy-seven

Djurek's POV My life's dream was finally coming true. It was all beginning to take shape. I would become king of the werewolf land in three days, after all these years of patience. Even though Romeo was not a worshiper of the moon goddess, he was not a bad person. I see diplomacy and intelligence in him, and after my bride and I have left the land of the irregular wolves, he is going to do a good job ruling in our absence. And my bride, the unknown Queen, was beautiful enough; I used the word ‘enough’ because she wears a veil to cover her face. She was a moon worshiper, who had lived mostly all the years in her life in the moon temple. She was tall, had white hair, and had a nice voice. She would remain in the veil until the wedding rites were completed. I was not exactly comfortable with not seeing the face of the woman I was to marry, but then I reminded myself that the wedding was not for love or any mutual attraction. It was a duty, a requirement I had to fulfil to get my d

Aurelia’s POV The sudden blast rippled across the atmosphere and shook the building to its roots. We staggered back and forth, holding onto whatever we could find for support. After a short while, the maddening noise subsided, only to be replaced by blood-curdling cries and chants. “Oh no!” Justin cried out, his voice trembling. “We are under attack!” “It’s the villagers,” his pregnant wife added, her face pale. “They’ve come to mob us!” “Is it because of me?” Lunar Gladys asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Before anyone could respond, the loud chanting grew louder, filling the air with menace. “We have found the unknown Queen! Release her to us this instant. We shall no longer be ruled by a demonic. Let us have the Queen!” My legs suddenly felt too weak to carry the weight of my body. I clutched the table for support, feeling my heart hammer in my chest. The announcement Justin made about my true identity was real—my whole life was being stripped away from me in an insta
