[Dante]
Since I was young, I've learned to always follow my instincts, always follow my thoughts and not to be influenced by others. Leading the Blackpack and making sure everyone gets a good life was my mission until I met her. She was a spendthrift woman. She often spent her father's money on materialistic things, crazy things that weren't even useful. Her parents advised her on several occasions but she never listened. Her father was a very wise man in the pack. He acquired all of his properties through hard work and luck. He was one of the richest and prominent werewolves, respected by everyone but his daughter always manages to give him a bad name. She was a stain to his white. When I was young, my grandfather wanted her to be my Luna and it was fine by me. She was innocent and cool to be with. She was naive and very nice until she traveled and became a dissolute and a spendthrift. Only God knows why and what made her change. Shortly after she came back, her father died and she immediately placed all her father's properties for sale. As the Greenwoods possess some archaic and ancient properties of the Blackpack, I had to purchase all immediately before they fell into the wrong hands and caused chaos in the pack. The properties could fall into those malicious wolves which could cause disability and chaos to a pack I've worked my life to maintain peace and order for. I mean who wouldn't want to buy Greenwood's property? After she did that I called off the whole betrothed thing. I can't marry someone who acts like this. She thinks only about herself and nobody else. I want a Luna who would think about the people and also bring progress to the pack, not someone who would ruin my life's effort. She didn't even consider her mother who just lost her husband before selling off her father's property. That shows how thick-skinned and evil she was. I also believe in marrying a woman bestowed on me by the moon goddess and not some betrothed. On the day the papers were supposed to be cleared, Daniel announced to me that she was dead. Honestly, I was happy. A bad egg in our pack is dead and there'd be peace. I had to just go there as the Alpha of the pack, to show my concern that we just lost a member of the pack only for me to get to the scene and she opened her eyes. "The evil ones don't die easily," I remembered my dad's favorite word. He always says this whenever there's a problem in the pack and it's difficult for us to get rid of it. Even after going to her house to clear off the properties but pretending to go check up on her, her personality changed. This wasn't the Kali I knew. Even when outsiders came to insult her, she was calm. All she did was take glances at me which was annoying. She was just staring at me at any opportunity she got which just made me hate her more. It made me so uncomfortable and angry. I didn't want to shout or yell at her because I liked her mother and my identity as an Alpha wouldn't allow me to act rationally as I liked. After getting home to cool down. I got a call from her mother asking me to help her find a job for her daughter. "What? What's going on? Kali wants to work?" I asked myself. I was flabbergasted. What in the hell is going on? Kali has never worked for anything in her life. All she does is spend her father's hard-earned money. Sit at home all day and stress all of the servants. "Did her experience with death change her personality?" I asked myself. I lied to her mother saying I had no job for her daughter even though I had many. She begged me but I had no option but to get her a job. Raven has always been such a good woman. She was a good support to me from when I was young till now. I agreed to get her daughter a job and I hung up. "Why does she want to work under me? She could easily get a job elsewhere. Why under me?" I asked myself as I stroked my chin. "Isn't she leaving the Blackpack anymore? Why did she sell off her father's property just to work for me?" I asked myself. I was getting confused as to what her motive was and I had to find out. ***The next day*** She came into my office all dressed up and I almost laughed. "She doesn't even know the kind of work I want to give to her," I said to my evil self. "You'll be our office assistant. Another word for cleaner and messenger. You'll clean up the mess in my office and you'll also help me get some kind of stuff or submit some documents whenever I need you." I said with a straight face. I raised my head to see her reaction, hoping she would leave my office right away. I didn't want her anywhere around me or my office. I just accepted so her mother could let me be and when she rejected my offer, it wouldn't be my fault again, it would be hers. "That's great. When do I start?" She asked and I opened my mouth. "Ka Kali!" I stammered. "What? You want me to clean, I'll clean." She said and I stared at her. "What do you want? What's your motive? You want to be my cleaner?" I questioned just to be sure again. This isn't the kali I know. "Isn't it just to clean? I'll do it." She nodded. I have to find out what her intention is. Something is wrong. She's after something and I have to find out before she ruins me and my pack.[Dante] "For real? What's wrong with Kali? Isn't she the same old Kali? The crazy bitch?" I asked myself. I was confused at this point. Why is she here? Does she have a motive or something to do to me? "It's fine by me. As far as I'll be able to make some money." She smiled and I was left in awe. "You'd do the job? like you'll be my messenger?" I asked again to be sure and she nodded. Kali Greenwood, the spendthrift, prostitute, and greedy human being will come to my company for a job? "What's going on right now? Are you okay Kali? Like did you hit your head on something?" I asked and she shook her head. "I'm okay. What can I do now?" She inquired and I rolled my eyes. I grabbed Daniel's laptop and gave it to her. "Go dust it up or clean it," I said just to get rid of her. "Sure sir." She flashed a smile at me again before taking the laptop from me. I felt very irritated and disgusted. I hate this woman so much. Everything she does just irritates me. 'Selene/Kali] After the
[Selene/Kali]I didn't know what to do. I knocked several times but he wouldn't let me into the building. I was tired and frustrated."Sir, please. I'll be careful next time." I begged for the nth time and I didn't get a response.I decided to go home so I could tell my mom. That's the only way I could get my job back and do it perfectly.I rushed home immediately and I got the reaction I expected."Why are you home by this time? What's wrong?" She asked."Alpha Dante sent me out of his office." I pouted."What did you do this time? Kali, you promised you'd be on your best behavior today." She asked."I'm sorry Mom. I made a little mistake and now he doesn't want to see me again." I explained and she shook her head at me."What do you want me to do? I can't keep asking him for favors." She said as she walked into the kitchen.I stood in the dimly lit kitchen, my heart racing as I watched my mom's eyes well up with tears. The few days I got to know her made me like her the more and wis
[Selene/Kali] My mother took another glance at me with a stern expression. "Kali, don't you want to get dressed? Do you still want to continue from where you stopped?" "Mother, it's not what you think. I don't know how this happened. I don't want to get married either." I said. My voice was barely above a whisper. She looked at me sternly. "You had your chance to choose when you went to the Alpha's bed. Now, you must face the consequences. Go, get dressed. I'll be waiting outside." With that, she turned and left the room, I took a deep breath, my heart heavy with the weight of my situation. Alpha Dante clapped his hands together, the sound echoing through the room. "Ah, Kali, you've finally gotten what you wanted," he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "You've manipulated me into a marriage I don't want and tarnished my image in front of the pack. Congratulations." He stood up from the bed, his eyes blazing with anger. "You've played a clever game, Kali. But know this
[Dante]I trudged downstairs, my feet heavy with the weight of my own regret. My friends were already gathered in the living room, their faces lit up with smirks and snickers."Hey, Dante! How was your night?" one of them asked, their voice dripping with sarcasm.I knew what they were really asking. They wanted to know about Kali, about how I ended up spending the night with her even though she's the woman I hate the most in the world.I tried to brush it off, to play it cool. "It was fine," I said, trying to sound nonchalant. But they wouldn't let up. "Oh, come on, Dante! Spill the details!" another one chimed in.I felt my face heat up with anger and embarrassment. I didn't want to talk about it, didn't want to relive the humiliation of being seduced and manipulated into marriage. I can't even remember how the night went!"Leave it alone, guys," I growled, trying to shut them down. But they just laughed, their teasing and jokes piercing my skin like knives. I knew they were just tr
[Narration]Kali and Dante sat in the living room several drinks deep into the night. They're both visibly intoxicated, and their conversation has taken a bitter turn."Ugh, you know what I can't stand? You. That's right, I hate you, Kali." Dante said sarcastically "Wow, Dante, that's some deep insight," Kali repliedDante rolls his eyes and downs another shot."I mean it!""God, why are you always such a pain? You're so irritating and stubborn, it's like you're trying to ruin my life. Why do you always come back? Why did you leave the first time? When we were still betrothed. Did you hate me that much?" Dante scoffed."Oh yeah, it's my fault that you're a mess. Please, I've got nothing to do with it. You're just a self-destructive jerk who can't handle his own issues. I'm only here to protect you."Their voices rise as the tension between them builds. Dante leans forward, his face inches from Kali's."You know what?" Dante gritted his teeth.Kali felt Dante's breath hot against her
[Dante]I tugged hard at my hair hoping what I saw was a dream and not reality. How many drinks must I have had to do that with Kali of all people? I has truly defiled Kali and had no choice than to marry her. I would only marry her for that reason and nothing else. I would never treat her like a wife nor would I recognize her as the Luna of my pack.__________It was morning and I couldn't bear to watch Kali walk down the aisle. It made my eyes twitch. I had wanted to show up in a jean trouser and shirt but Daniel had forced me to wear a suit. I just wanted to get it over with.“Do you Kali Greenwood take Dante Dalton to be your lawfully wedded husband, to love and to cherish, in sickness and in health, in poverty and in wealth, till death do you part?” The priest asked.“I do.” she answered sharply."Golddigger." [Selene/Kali]I sighed, feeling a pang of regret as I gazed at Dante's yelling at me. It had just been a day since their wedding and he was already yelling at her like that. I knew I was the one who had initiated the drinking that fateful night, the night that had led to our hasty marriage. Now, I couldn't help but wonder if I had made a mistake."Why did I push him to keep drinking?" I thought to myself, my mind racing with self-doubt. "Why did I think it was a good idea to spend the night with him?"My thoughts swirled with remorse as I recalled the events that had transpired. I had been the one to suggest we drink and I only did that to gain the courage to tell him I wasn't Kali but Selene, the protector of the golden bloodline and his protector. And now, here they were, married and barely speaking.I took a deep breath and decided to take action. I couldn't just sit around feeling sorry for myself anymore. I need to make things right with Dante and be close to him. I packed a l
***Dante's POV***"Mr Johnson is here sir. I saw him downstairs." Daniel rushed in, breaking the news to me.Mr Johnson is the CEO of Johnson Group of companies and I've always wanted to work with him."Where?" I asked."He's with Kali. Seems they know each other. This would be good for us, maybe she'll help us convince him." He informed.I've always known Kali to be a whore but doing this at my office with someone I've been trying to work with for years is annoying."Where are they?" I smirked."The parking lot." "Great." I rolled my eyes as I dashed out of my office.Knowing the kind of woman Kali was, she could be doing anything with him by now. I got there and she was talking to him while he laughed at whatever joke she made.My voice cut through the air, laced with venom."Well, well, well. Look what we have here. [Dante's POV] I was sitting in the living room, scrolling through my phone, when the front door burst open and Kali stormed in, her eyes blazing with anger. She slammed the door shut behind her, making me jump. "Where are you coming from?" I asked, anger etched on my face. Kali's eyes narrowed, her chest heaving with agitation. "It's none of your business." she spat, her voice venomous. I raised an eyebrow, surprised. "What's your problem Kali? What do you want? Why are you so adamant on ruining me?" Kali's gaze flashed with irritation. "What do you mean? Please Dante, I have no time for this. Just let me be." I held up my hands, placating. "I know where you're coming from." My expression changed from irritation to anger as I furrowed my brows. "Wait, Kali. You're coming from Mr. Johnson's house, aren't you?" I accused, my voice was low and even. Kali's eyes faltered, and she took a step back, her face pale. "Dante, I can explain-" But I cut her off, my anger boiling
[Selene/Kali]I stood outside the office building, my heart racing with anticipation. I had been waiting for this meeting with Alpha Jareth for what felt like an eternity. My mind was a jumble of questions and doubts, but I pushed them aside and took a deep breath.I had to do this. I had to know the truth. I stole his number from Dante's phone just to schedule a meeting with him.I pushed open the door and stepped inside, my eyes adjusting to the dim lighting. The receptionist looked up from her desk and smiled."Mrs Kali Dalton, right on time. Mr. Johnson is waiting for you."I nodded, my mouth dry. I followed her to a large wooden door, which she opened with a flourish."Mr. Johnson," she announced, "Mrs Dalton is here to see you."I stepped inside, my eyes fixed on the figure behind the desk. Alpha Jareth looked up, his eyes piercing."Ah, Selene. Thank you for coming. Please, take a seat."I sat down, my hands clenched in my lap. What was I going to learn?"Mr. Johnson, I mean Al
