Xavier kept staring at me without saying a word. I didn't want to let my emotions get the better of me. He was an Alpha, and I was sure there was a big age gap between us. Even though I was a princess, I felt like he could easily manipulate me if I wasn't careful.

"I'll let this slide for now, baby. But that doesn't mean I'm okay with you entertaining other guys," he said after a deep sigh.

He lifted his hand and gently brushed my cheek as if he was being extra cautious. I stopped myself from closing my eyes and kept looking at him so he wouldn't think I was too affected by his actions.

"I don't like sharing what's mine, so keep that in mind."

"You don't own me, so you can't boss me around." I didn't know where I found the courage to say that, but I saw the corner of his lips twitch up before he replied.

"Not yet, but we'll get there," he said before taking my lips again.

Before I knew it, I was kissing him back. We only stopped when we were both out of breath.
