Aliyah
The hairs on my arms stood up because of what Xavier said, and I quickly stood up. I shook my head, trying to clear how he called me out of my mind. I didn’t even remember how we finished our training and how I got back to the pack house while Janice went to Chloe’s place. Janice and I are supposed to stay here until tomorrow. Still, I can’t imagine what else might happen between me and that Alpha.
I’m currently on the third floor of the pack house. Chloe showed me where my room would be before we started training. She said the Alpha family lived here, but when I entered my room, I didn’t see anyone except for three omegas who seemed to be finishing up some cleaning. They noticed me but just nodded before walking past me.
I took a shower to wash off the sweat. Honestly, I enjoyed the training with Xavier. I learned something even though I didn’t land a single hit on him.
I observed how he dodged. I’m not sure if he was just avoiding me or if he was showing me the moves instead of explaining them, but whatever it was, I found it effective.
Sitting on the bed, I brushed my hair, recalling how Xavier looked at me. I wanted to read his thoughts so badly, but I worried it might only bring trouble. Why would I want to know what that man was thinking if it might endanger me or make the people love and care for me worry?me
"Ugh, why am I thinking about him? Who is he to me, anyway?" I stood up from the bed and walked toward the door that led to a small balcony—so small that only one chair could fit.But I didn’t sit there. Instead, I stood by the railing, looking out into the distance. The sky was orange from the setting sun. Imagine, we trained the whole day!
I’ve realized how intense the training is here in the Howlers Pack. Just like my parents wanted, they even trained omegas.
“What are you thinking?”
I jumped when I heard that voice and quickly turned to its source. I saw Xavier standing on the next balcony, which was much bigger than the one I was on.
"Why aren’t you answering?" he asked again.
"Huh? Oh, uh, nothing, Alpha. I’m just admiring the view. It’s really beautiful." He didn’t respond, and I thought he might leave me alone. But to my surprise, he suddenly jumped over to my balcony.
“Ah!” I gasped.
“Tell me, what were you thinking, baby?” Now that he was closer, I panicked, especially after he called me “baby” again. I stepped back and tripped over the single chair behind me. I thought I would fall, but Xavier quickly grabbed my hand and pulled me toward him. And just like that, my face hit his chest. Thankfully, he was wearing a T-shirt, but I could still smell the freshness of his recent shower.
His arm wrapped around my waist while his other hand brushed against my cheek, making me close my eyes. "Tell me, baby. Were you thinking about me?"
I opened my eyes, feeling his breath on my lips. I wasn’t mistaken—his face was so close to mine that our lips were nearly touching. I wondered if they’d finally meet if I answered him.
I was about to speak, but he shifted, his lips moving near my ear, barely grazing my skin. “Make sure I’m the only one in your thoughts. I’m very possessive, baby, and I can’t promise the safety of any man I find if he’s on your mind.”
Goosebumps ran down my spine, and a thrilling sensation spread through my body. I felt a desire, unlike anything I’d ever felt before. "Ohh…" I couldn’t stop the moan that escaped my lips as I closed my eyes.
“I love hearing you moan. Damn, I’m so turned on.”
He pulled me closer, making me open my eyes again, and there he was, staring right at me. "Can you feel me, baby?" I swallowed hard after he asked that, unsure if I should answer, even though I could clearly feel his hardness pressing against my stomach.
“Kiss me if you feel me, baby.” I stared at his face as he said it. Alphas can be so conceited, thinking they’re gifts to us she-wolves. But with Xavier, there was something I couldn’t understand, something that made me feel a little afraid.
I shook my head and looked up at him again. I was much shorter, just like my mom, who was the opposite of my twin, Ali. Slowly, I rose on my toes to bring my lips closer to his.
But just as our lips were about to touch, he suddenly stood straight, leaving me frozen. His eyes dilated, and I knew for sure someone had mind-linked him. Even though I didn’t need to ask, I knew that’s what had happened. When it seemed like the mind-link was over, he smiled back at me.
“You got lucky this time, but I won’t let you go next time.” He kissed the tip of my nose, then my forehead, before letting go of me and jumping back to his large balcony.
I was left standing there, dazed, and—well, my underwear was wet. Damn! What just happened to me? Why does he have such a strong effect on me? The electricity I felt when we first met was still there, but now it felt like it was part of me whenever we were close.
I returned to the room just as my phone rang, showing Janice’s name. “Hey, girl,” I said as I answered.
“Girl, come downstairs. Chloe wants to introduce you to her mom and dad.”
“Okay,” I replied before ending the call. I was about to head out the door when I suddenly remembered what happened earlier and the fact that I’d been aroused. Fearing they might smell it, I quickly cleaned up and changed my underwear. I made sure there wasn’t a trace of my arousal or any scent of Xavier on me. I didn’t want anyone to get the wrong idea.
I was on the last step of the second-floor stairs when I saw Chloe and Janice chatting happily, so I continued heading down. I was almost with them when Xavier and the girl from the university, Stelle, appeared from the corridor leading to the Alpha’s office. And the girl was clinging to Xavier’s arm.
Ugh, just earlier, his hands were on my waist, and now he’s got someone else clinging to him? Is she the reason he left me?

AliyahChloe’s parents were very welcoming, and I think they were extra sweet to my friend. It looked like Janice appreciated how kind the Beta family was to her. Maybe it’s because she’s the daughter of an Alpha, so I just shrugged it off.I was supposed to have dinner with them, but John, Chloe’s dad, said I should eat at the packhouse since I was staying there. It seemed like Xavier would be mad if I didn’t, so I followed their advice.I didn’t stay long at their house. Chloe just introduced me to her parents, John and Marsha, and before dinner, Chloe, Adrian, and Janice brought me back to the packhouse. Their house was a little far, and they didn’t want me to walk alone. On the way back, I enjoyed the scenery. It was still a bit bright outside, and since we were just walking, I could freely look around. I hadn’t paid much attention to the surroundings earlier on our way to the training hall because of what Xavier had said.“Well, girl, I guess we’ll leave you here now,” Janice said
AliyahThe king and queen of the supernatural world, Matteo and Freya Harith, are known as the most powerful beings in our realm. Their reign saw them through two wars led by their uncle and aunt, both of which they won successfully. They had twins named Leo and Luna, whom they loved dearly and who were destined to inherit their kingdom. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the king and queen needed to protect their twins. To do so, they changed their names when they began school. Leo became Allistaire, a strong Lycan Prince. In contrast, Luna became Aliyah, an omega who could move objects without touching them and read minds. But these abilities were not easy for her to control. Often, her nose would bleed when she used them. She had no one to guide her, fearing her parents might find out.Aliyah kept her abilities to herself out of fear that the kingdom would see her as evil and compare her to her witch aunt, who waged war a year after her parents’ reign. How do I know this? Be
AliyahGlendale University. It’s Monday morning, and I’m currently walking around the university. I usually do this, especially since the place is new to me. I guess it's also part of my cautious nature, which started when I was a child.I walked with many other students and noticed that most of them seemed to know each other and were happy to see their friends. I wish I could say the same, but my friend chose to study at another school because her crush is there."Yay!" I flinched when I heard a familiar voice from behind, so I quickly turned around. My eyes widened when I realized I had heard correctly because I saw my best friend running toward me, even though I thought she was at a different school."You witch! What are you doing here?" I asked as she finally reached me, and I’m sure disbelief was still all over my face."I can’t let you have all the fun by yourself!" Janice said, laughing, which made me laugh, too. I consider her my best friend because she treats me like I'm not
AliyahThree days have passed since that incident, and I haven’t seen Xavier or Adrian again. Maybe it was just a coincidence that they were there, which I’m thankful for because if they hadn’t been, the palace would probably be mourning because of me.“Okay, class, listen.” I suddenly looked at our P.E. professor, glancing around the class before she continued. “In a week, we’ll have a small competition. Since physical strength will be needed, it will be divided into two categories: one for the supernatural and one for the humans.”The students began whispering. Some were nervous, while others were excited. “Even though the categories are separate, you will still fight, and there’s a chance someone might get hurt. We need to ensure, especially for humans, that we can fight. So that, no matter what happens, you can protect yourselves.”“Like a fighting tournament?” asked one of my male classmates, who I was sure was a wolf.“Yes, but even though it’s a fighting tournament and there’s
AliyahIt was early Saturday morning, and I was heading to the university parking lot. I commuted as usual. Dad insisted I should have a car and a driver. Still, I refused because I wanted to keep my identity secret, so I stayed low profile.“I thought you wouldn’t show up,” Janice greeted me as soon as she saw me, causing me to frown. “I know you’re not fond of these pack visits, and I was worried Aunt Avery wouldn’t allow you to come.”“She allowed me because I told her I’d be with you,” I replied, seeing a wide smile across her face. She was about to say more when a black SUV suddenly stopped beside us. The passenger door opened, and Chloe stepped out with a smile.“Hi, girls! Sorry, I’m a bit late. Adrian took forever.” We looked toward the driver’s seat, where her brother Adrian also got out, staring intensely at Janice, and my friend stared back at him.“Hey! What’s going on with you?” I asked, surprising her.“Huh? Nothing, I just– I don’t know.”“Adrian, stop scaring Janice. S
Aliyah “Your Alpha is really something, Chloe,” said Janice, returning me to my senses. We were now in the training hall with Pete, the gamma of the Howlers Pack, whom Xavier had ordered to join and help us with training. “Alpha just wants to make sure you're safe, especially since you're the daughter of Alpha Joric.” I understood Chloe's reason, but I still felt uncomfortable staying at the packhouse simply because I’m human and supposedly need extra protection. “Aliyah, I’m sorry for Alpha Xavier. He’s like that because he feels responsible for you, especially since you're in the pack.” I nodded at Pete and pretended everything was okay, but I was nervous. We started warming up because, according to the gamma, our training wouldn’t be easy, especially since Janice said we were training together. I guess being honest didn't give us an advantage. Chloe was already 18, so she had her wolf, while Janice, her sparring partner, didn’t. But they were both in human form, so it was
