***Clair's POV***

Teresa, who was surprised by what I said, slowly walked away from their bed.

“Are they asleep now?”

I whispered. Teresa gestured for me to keep shut and pulled me out of the room with her.

After she successfully shut the door, she quickly turned around to face me.

“Did I just hear you right? How dare you call yourself a bad mom. Just why would you say such about yourself?”

"Today, I promised that I was going to close early from the office and be there to tell them a bedtime story. I was the one who gave the promise and still the one who failed to keep to my promise. Aren't I pathetic?"

“You don't sympathize with yourself at all, do you. If I were to be in your shoes with all this work in place, I'm sure I would have passed out since a long time ago.”

“Still, that doesn't justify the fact that I don't really have time for my kids.”
