Erica, Erica wake up, Erica, Erica." Erica was woken up by the noise. She stretched herself and then looked around but it was still dark. Was she dreaming? She thought, but the next thing confirmed her suspicions, she wasn't dreaming.
"Hurry up, you don't have much time they will find out soon you have to run," she heard but that voice felt so familiar she was still a bit drowsy after being woken up from her sleep.
"What? Run to where?" She asked absentmindedly but soon realized where she was. She hurriedly stood up from the freezing floor which had become her norm.
"What time is it?" She asked.
"Almost six in the morning," he replied. Hearing the voice again she instantly knew it was her savior the guard.
"Let's go, " she said pulling his arms.
"I'm not going someone has to pay the price for it," he said pitifully. She stared at him not that she could actually see his face due to the darkness but she still did.
Ooh you can't just stay here," Erica said trying to convince him. If she had the chance, she would save as many people as she could from Alec because she was sure he wasn't someone who could spare even an insect.
"I can't, I have no life even if I run away with you I'm not as strong and brave as you are so stop wasting your time and save yourself, " he paused for a while shaking her hands off him before saying," You can't save everyone, Erica,"
Erica was in a daze for a while those words, seemed so familiar where had she heard them? She couldn't forget them so easily, could she? Those were the words that tortured her. Those were her parent's words when she brought Alec Horton into the pack. “You can’t save everyone Erica.” Those words ringed in her ears.
"Go, Alec will be back soon be safe I'll hold them," he said pushing her. Erica nodded her head in affirmation but still didn't forget to utter a word, "thank you." She couldn't repay him in this life maybe the next but she was indebted to him. Who knew the person she least cared for would one day save her life, she thought it was a joke but still she had one thing to do and that was to run away for now.
She didn't know where she would run to but she knew one thing as far as possible. It was their territory, she grew up there so she knew her way out as she ran, she thought of possible places she could run to as she knew Alec would never rest when as far as he knew she was alive.
What is going on here?" She heard Alec's voice echoing behind her but she didn't dare stop.
"She escaped," One of the guards said nervously. They all knew his temper if not, would he have tortured Erica for days?
"Who let her escape, are you all idiots?" He yelled. He was out for a few days how could she just escape when he hadn't had enough fun? They all stared at one particular place or one particular person. By now there was a bit of light so they clearly saw the person. He stood at the corner leaning on the wall calmly awaiting his death but he was quite satisfied with his choice, he would rather follow his pack than work for him.
He straightened his body up before replying proudly," I let her out what can you do about it?" with a mocking smile. He no longer had fear as he knew Erica will definitely avenge them, he can as well do as he liked.
"Where is she? Find her immediately she can't go too far, you are so useless," He barked which scared the shit out of everyone. They all ran towards the exit with Alec following behind but before that, he turned and yelled coldly as his olive eyes glowed," Kill him." He had no mercy.
He turned around and then walked out with one thought in mind and that was to find her. He didn't know why he was so obsessed with her but he knew one thing he wanted her around or probably yearned for her respect.
After a few minutes, they finally caught up with her.
"Get her," He yelled angrily.
Erica ran, she wasn’t going to die without defeat she had to think, not just think but think fast her life depended on it. She couldn't let the guard's effort go to waste judging by what she went through she knew the guard was in for it. No this wasn't how she would die at least if she was to die, she had to think of it herself and plan her own death.
Thinking of that, she suddenly thought of something there used to be a cliff beneath it a river flowed she remembered her parents warned her never to play near it thinking of that, she had only one option and that was to jump in it as much as she was afraid of heights it was better than being in that hell hole of a prison.
She instantly increased her pace and as she neared it, she felt quite relaxed for some reason it was like she had a feeling Alec wouldn't dive in to retrieve her that's what she hoped for at least.
"Quick, get her she has no place to run anymore," Alec said with a smirk as she walked closer to Erica and then stopped a few steps away.
"Running away? Did I say so? You are mine you hear me?" He said arrogantly moving closer to her.
Love, you are no match for me," He caressed her cheeks. Erica was silent which made Alec think she had no other choice but to follow him but for once he had underestimated himself or had underestimated Erica. He assumed the thought of her jumping into the river as that would mean diving directly to death and who would dare do that? Of course, no one unless it was the daring Erica Michaels.
"Ooh really," Erica grinned. After a few seconds, she quickly lifted her leg and then hit him so hard in his groins before diving into the water. It happened so fast that no one could predict it not even Alec himself.
"Get her," he yelled in pain his back bent down. The guards immediately regained their senses and went forward but Erica had long disappeared.
"What are you waiting for idiots?" He barked seeing them stare down the cliff with no movement.
"Boss, she's gone we can't see her anymore," One of the guards said.
"What do you mean gone," Alec moved forward and then stared at the water which seemed so clear, it was like no one had jumped inside.
"Send people to keep an eye on her and bring her back dead or alive," With that, he walked away still pissed.
After a few minutes, Erica emerged she knew she had no time to waste as Alec would send people to confirm whether she was dead or not so she had one choice and that was to keep swimming to God knows where, but it didn't matter anymore as long as it was anywhere else but here. She had never crossed the cliff but her parents had told her some stories some true some false but nothing was confirmed.
She swam for hours, she wasn't a good swimmer but at least she could float and flap her legs, if that counted as swimming then yes. She stopped for a while gasping for air as she listened to any kind of noise but everything was dead silent, she could only hear the sound of her breathing. So, she went back to swimming aiming for the shore from where she would know her next destination.
"Where am I?" She asked no one in particular.
It's been ten whole years ever since Leroi became an Alpha, that was something he had not planned for after all, he was only sixteen years old. Having a sixteen-year-old lead the pack was something unheard of, not just any pack but Shadow moon pack. "Why do you look so stressed up?" Robin Mane asked. Leroi silently stared at Robin his best friend and the beta of the pack. "What, are you still thinking about it? It's been ten years Leroi you have to move on you can't live like this why don't you find your mate," He teased. "Why should I?" Leroi replied sternly. Robin stared at him but he was no longer shocked. He was 26 years old but he still had fenced his heart it couldn't be denied that he was a ruthless and brutal man, but no one knew him more than his best friend probably only friend Robin. He seemed proud and ruthless but only he knew how soft and tender-hearted he was, his hatred for the rogues was more than anyone could imagine, just thinking of that made him shiver sligh
Robin was silent for a while probably contemplating, which made Erica slightly uncomfortable, she had made a friend she wouldn't ruin it that easily right? She thought. After a while, Robin replied " How about we let Leroi answer that himself when he is ready to do that," She slightly heaved a sigh of relief before replying," Sure," She had no rush anyway as long as she had a place to stay nothing else mattered. As they walked, they instantly drew attention as one was the Alpha, and the second was the beta but wait one more person was walking next to the beta and they looked quite happy as they chatted. Who was she? They all stared at each other in curiosity no one dared to walk next to the Alpha let alone the beta as they were people not everyone could match up to. They were superiors and even the elders would have to lower their egos when they appeared in front of the two. Erica laughed and smiled as she heard stories about Leroi from Robin. He was the kind of person who was ve
Erica woke up with a start, realizing she had overslept, she looked at the clock and saw that it was already 9pm, an hour past the time she was supposed to wake up and start her chores. She quickly got out of bed and dressed in her uniform, feeling a sense of panic wash over her.Her main duty in the pack was to serve Leroi, the Alpha, and she had to prepare his tea every morning and evening. Erica knew that she couldn't afford to mess this up; otherwise, she would face Leroi's wrath, and she couldn't bear the thought of that."Hello please where's the kitchen.." Erica asked with a calm voice."Just walk straight ahead" a girl with a maid uniform replied with a smile. She rushed to the kitchen, her heart pounding in her chest, and started boiling water for the tea. As she waited, she tried to calm herself down, reminding herself that she was capable of completing her duties on time. But the more she thought about it, the more nervous she became. Finally, the water boiled, and Erica qu
Leroi and his beta Robin were in the training ground, sparring with each other as the rest of the pack looked on in admiration. Leroi was known for his exceptional fighting skills and had earned the respect of everyone in the pack. Erica, however, was not interested in the sparring session. She sat on a bench, watching the two wolves fight. Erica had always felt like an outcast in the pack, never quite fitting in with the others. After some time, Erica decided to go to Leroi's room and tidy up. She was in the middle of rearranging some of her belongings when she accidentally knocked over a precious vase that belonged to Leroi's family. The vase was shattered into a thousand pieces, and Erica knew that she was in trouble. She heard the sound of footsteps outside the door and knew that Leroi had come to confront her. As soon as Leroi saw the broken vase, he flew into a rage. He grabbed Erica by the neck and tightened his grip. Erica struggled to breathe as Leroi's fingers dug into her f
Leroi got up from the bed, his muscles aching from the intense sexual activity he had just finished. He looked around the room, taking in the sight of Erica lying on the bed, naked and sated. He had never been the kind of guy to stick around after a one-night stand, but something about Erica made him want to relax. He walked over to her and handed her clothes, watching as she shyly pulled them on. She was beautiful, with her long brown hair and big brown eyes, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of possessiveness over her. It was a strange feeling, one he couldn't quite explain, but he knew he didn't want to let her go just yet.As Erica finished dressing, Leroi leaned in close and whispered in her ear, "Never call me by my name. Address me as 'your highness' and nothing else, until I tell you otherwise."Erica nodded, feeling a shiver run down her spine at his commanding tone. She had never been with a man like Leroi before, and the way he took control was both exciting and a littl
Leroi tossed and turned in bed, unable to fall asleep. The full moon's light shone through his window, illuminating his room. He sat up in bed and rubbed his eyes. He decided to take a stroll around the palace and clear his head.As he walked through the corridors, he saw his fellow werewolf guards on duty. They acknowledged his presence with a bow. Leroi nodded in return and continued his walk. He felt restless and couldn't shake the feeling of discomfort.Leroi peeped into Alana's room as he walked by, and he saw her doing her makeup. He checked his wristwatch and saw that it was already 1am. He was surprised to see Alana doing beauty makeup at such an odd hour. He felt curious and decided to walk into her room.Alana was shocked and surprised to see Leroi standing at her door. "What are you doing here at this time of night, Your Highness?" she asked, trying to hide the nervousness in her voice."I could ask you the same question," Leroi replied with a smile. "Why are you doing your
Alana had spent the entire day observing Erica's every move. She couldn't help but feel a twinge of annoyance as she witnessed how the other pack members treated Erica with respect and kindness. It grated on her nerves, and she muttered to herself, "She's nothing but a rogue wolf."Robin, overhearing Alana's comment, rolled his eyes and retorted, "At least she's prettier than you." With that sassy remark, he walked away, leaving Alana fuming in frustration.Meanwhile, Robin sought out Erica, making his way toward her. He gently took her hand in his, and she looked up, a smile forming on her lips. "Hey, Robin," she called out cheerfully."You seem to be enjoying your time with the pack, huh?" Robin asked, curious about her experience.Erica nodded, her smile widening. "I am, except for Leroi. He can be quite harsh sometimes," she confessed, her tone tinged with disappointment.Robin burst into laughter, finding amusement in Erica's confession. "Hahaha, I knew it," he exclaimed. Moving
Erica's heart fluttered with excitement as she walked beside Leroi, a member of the pack she had recently joined. The sun cast a warm glow over the landscape, and the scent of blooming flowers filled the air. It was a beautiful day, and Erica couldn't help but feel grateful for the turn her life had taken. They reached a lovely garden within the pack territory and decided to take a moment to rest. Leroi sat down on a bench, and Erica joined him, their shoulders slightly touching. She stole glances at him, admiring his handsome features and cool demeanor. Despite the enchanting atmosphere, a nagging thought lingered in Erica's mind: would Leroi's perception of her change once he discovered she was a rogue wolf?Lost in her thoughts, Erica didn't notice the approach of two other pack members, Robin and Scarlett, who were engaged in a heated discussion at the nearby bar. Alana, who harbored ill feelings toward Scarlett, took advantage of the situation and deliberately poured a drink on h
Just as they were beginning to relax, a soft, eerie howl echoed through the night. Adonis and Mack looked at each other, their senses on high alert. "What was that?" Mack asked, his eyes wide with fear. "It's just the wind," Adonis reassured him. "Or maybe one of the wolves from the pack, letting off some steam." But deep down, Adonis couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. The howl sounded too distant, too haunting. It didn't feel like a regular pack member's call. "I don't like this," Mack said, his voice trembling. "What if it's something dangerous?" Adonis tried to put on a brave front, but his instincts were telling him that they should be on guard. "Let's go find Alpha Leori," he suggested. "He'll know what to do." Mack nodded, grateful for the suggestion. The two of them quickly made their way to Alpha Leori's chambers, their hearts racing with both fear and determination. As they approached, they could hear voices inside the room. Alpha Leori was in a heated d
The days had passed since Erica's sudden disappearance, and Robin couldn't shake the feeling of emptiness that gnawed at his heart. He missed her presence, her laughter, and the way she always seemed to brighten his darkest days. It was time to find her, to bring her back to the pack where she belonged.Feeling restless, Robin sought out his close friend Adonis, hoping to share his thoughts and find a willing partner in his search for Erica."Adonis," he called out as he approached him. "I need to talk to you about something important."Adonis turned to face Robin, his expression serious. "Of course," he replied. "What's on your mind?""It's Erica," Robin began. "I can't stand not knowing where she is or if she's safe. I need to find her."Adonis nodded in understanding, his eyes filled with empathy. "I miss her too," he admitted. "She's a strong and resourceful woman, but I worry about her as well."Robin took a deep breath, grateful for Adonis's support. "I want to start looking for
"It's your birthday celebration," Alana said with a playful smile. "I know you've been busy all day, so I thought we could have a quiet celebration, just the two of us."Alpha Leori couldn't help but chuckle at Alana's thoughtfulness. "You didn't have to do all this," he said, touched by her gesture."But I wanted to," Alana replied, her eyes shining with affection. "You do so much for the pack, and you deserve to have a special day just for yourself."Alpha Leori pulled Alana into a warm embrace, grateful for her kindness and love. "Thank you," he whispered. "This means a lot to me."They sat down at the table, and Alana served Alpha Leori with the delicious dishes the pack had prepared. They talked and laughed, enjoying each other's company in the quiet intimacy of their chamber. As the night wore on, Alana brought out a small cake adorned with candles. "Make a wish," she said, a mischievous glint in her eyes.Alpha Leori closed his eyes for a moment, silently making his wish. Then,
Alpha Leori walked past the gardens of his kingdom, the scent of blooming flowers filling the air. It was a tranquil day and the sun cast a warm golden glow over the lush greenery. As he strolled along, he couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment, knowing that his pack was safe and thriving. But as he neared the edge of the gardens, he noticed a commotion in the distance. There, near the kingdom's boundary, was a figure struggling to escape. It was a thief, attempting to take off with stolen goods.Leori's instincts kicked in and without hesitation, he sprinted towards the scene. The thief was quick-moving, darting between the trees, but Leori's werewolf speed allowed him to close the gap quickly."Stop!" Leori's voice boomed, commanding and firm. "There's no escape."The thief looked back, fear and desperation in his eyes. He knew he had been caught by the alpha himself and the consequences were dire."I didn't mean any harm!" the thief pleaded, his voice trembling. "I was despe
Just as they were about to pounce, the thief suddenly straightened up and turned around, his eyes wide with fear as he spotted the two formidable wolves closing in on him."Please, don't hurt me!" he pleaded, his voice trembling.Leori and Adonis exchanged glances, both seeing the fear in the thief's eyes. They could sense that he was desperate and possibly driven to stealing out of necessity."We don't want to hurt you," Leori said in a calm voice. "But you must understand that you've trespassed into our territory. We cannot allow that."The thief nodded frantically. "I know, I know. I didn't mean any harm. I was just looking for food."Leori's expression softened slightly. "There are better ways to ask for help than stealing. If you were hungry, you could have come to us, and we would have provided for you."The thief seemed to consider his words for a moment, his fear beginning to subside. "I... I didn't think anyone would help me. I've heard stories about how ruthless some packs c
But amidst the laughter and camaraderie, a sense of foreboding lingered. The neighboring packs were growing restless, and rumors of tension and disputes reached Leori's ears. One evening, as they sat together on a cliff overlooking the kingdom, Alana spoke up. "Do you think there will be troubleahead, Leori? With the tension rising in the neighboring packs, I worry about our safety."Leori's expression turned serious as he considered Alana's words. "I share your concerns," he replied. "But we must be vigilant and prepared. Our pack's safety comes first."Alana nodded in agreement. "You're right, Leori. We should strengthen our defenses and be ready to face whatever comes our way."In the days that followed, the pack members worked tirelessly to fortify the kingdom's borders. They dug trenches, set up watchtowers, and trained rigorously to ensure they were prepared for any potential threats.During a council meeting, Leori discussed the situation with his most trusted advisors, includ
“I've noticed how close you and Alaric have become," Daniel admitted, trying to keep his emotions in check. "And I can't help but feel a bit uneasy about it."Erica's expression softened and she reached out to place a reassuring hand on Daniel's shoulder. "Daniel, you're my best friend, and you always will be," she said. "But Alaric has been a valuable ally, and I can't deny the connection we share.""I understand," Daniel replied, trying to mask the hurt he felt. "I just worry that this could complicate things, especially with the situation with Alec still unresolved."Erica nodded, her gaze filled with understanding. "I won't let anything come between us or jeopardize our pack," she assured him. "Our friendship will always be a priority, and I promise to be mindful of the situation."Daniel managed a small smile, grateful for Erica's honesty and reassurance. "Thank you," he said. "I trust you, and I know you'll do what's best for all of us."With their bond reaffirmed, Erica and Dan
As the night fell, the atmosphere was tense but cautious. The soldiers and the vampires remained on high alert, knowing that the battle was far from over. They had won a crucial victory, but they also knew that Alec was not one to be underestimated."I don't trust them," one soldier whispered to his comrade."Neither do I," the other replied, his eyes darting towards the vampires who were conversing in low tones.Daniel and Erica overheard the conversation and approached the soldiers, their expressions serious. "We may not trust them completely, but we need all the help we can get," Erica said. "For now, we have a common enemy. We must stay united."The soldiers nodded reluctantly, understanding the wisdom in Erica's words. The alliance with the vampires was unexpected, but they had proven their worth in battle. For the time being, they needed to set aside their reservations and focus on the task at hand - defending their kingdom. The night passed slowly, with the soldiers and the vam
As the first light of dawn broke through the horizon, Daniel and Erica wasted no time in rallying, the revelation had taken a toll on them but they knew that they couldn't afford to rest. Alec's pack was relentless and they needed to be ready for whatever came their way."We need to secure our kingdom's boundaries," Daniel said, his voice firm. "They won't stop until they find us, so we need to be one step ahead."The soldiers nodded, their faces determined. They knew that their survival depended on their ability to defend their home."We can manufacture dangerous weapons and homemade bombs," one soldier suggested. "That way, we can catch them off guard."Daniel nodded in agreement. "Good idea. Let's get to work."Throughout the day, the soldiers worked tirelessly, crafting weapons and bombs from whatever resources they could find. They used their ingenuity and resourcefulness to create deadly tools that would give them an advantage in battle.Erica oversaw the process, her mind sharp
