Leroi sat at the head of the table, deep in thought. Around him sat the members of his council, including Robin, his right-hand man, and the chiefs of the different packs.

"I think we need to have a serious talk about Athea," Leroi said finally. "We can't keep ignoring the possibility that she might be leading us into a trap."

The council members exchanged worried looks. Athea, the leader of a neighboring vampire clan, had approached them with an offer of an alliance. She claimed that her clan and Leroi's pack shared a common enemy and that by working together, they could defeat it.

But Leroi was hesitant to trust her. He had a feeling that there was something she wasn't telling them, and he couldn't afford to let his guard down.

"I agree," Robin said. "We can't just blindly accept her offer without knowing more about her true intentions."
