LORRAINE'S POV

Later that evening, I packed my things. It had been a long day but now it was finally time to go home and I was glad.

My phone buzzed. I took it out. As usual, it was a text from Neil. I smiled as I read his text. Earlier, we talked about going to see Rose after dinner. I would leave the kids with a baby sitter while we go. I didn't want the kids to disturb Rose. If not, I would go with them.

Neil: Done from work?
