‘Sylvan said it! He actually said it!’ Layla’s breath hitched as she gaped at him. ‘That means he’s a…’

“You’re a—”

“Shh! We’ll talk later at the end of class.” Sylvan said, nudging his head to the other students. “Let’s focus on class first.”

‘Oh, that’s right. I can’t say anything here. I could get us in trouble.’ She pressed her lips together and nodded.
