Chapter 73

Alpha Alexis POV

“You need to slow down Aurora”,” I said as I tried to snatch her wine glass from her and at the same time not make it so obvious.

She was already drinking too much and I didn't like it.

“What do you mean… I am not drunk, I am fine” She giggled and then downed half of the wine in an attempt to prove it. “And anyway, who are you calling slow”, she said pointing a finger at me “You’re only making me dizzier”

“Nobody called you slow Aurora” At this point I was glad that people were not paying attention to us since they were too busy on the dance floor.

“You just need some air and to get some rest. Let's go home ”, I told her while I tried to help her stand up.

“No!” she protested “You will not convince me by any means to go home with you”, she said and I almost had enough control over my emotions not to laugh when I saw her expression. Her pupils were dilated, her nose red and her cheeks all puffy.

She looked drunk but somehow still beautiful despite everything.
