Alpha Alexis POV Something was going on with Aurora, first she was screaming all through the night and trying to reassure her that she was going to be fine. Something about the man in the dark. Who the hell was the man in the dark and what did he want from her? Aurora was behaving strangely, her eyes were moving from side to side and not in a pleasant way, they were darting left and right, almost like an animal, searching for danger. She looked like she was in pain, but more than that she looked terrified. “Aurora?” I tapped her gently but it didn't seem like she could hear me. “What is going on?” the fear was there in voice and her eyes were beginning to close. Something was off about it and I couldn't tell what it was, my wolf wasn't having any of it as it kept whimpering and jumping inside of me in distress. Something wasn't right. Something was happening. “Stay with me Aurora, stay with me” but her lashes kept fluttering until they grew still, and her eyes closed. She cou
Aurora’s POV “Are you sure that you are okay?” Alexis asked for the umpteenth time. It had been more than four hours since I woke up from whatever phase that was, and while my head still hurt, it wasn't like before. This time, though, the throbbing was constant, so constant that I could almost ignore the pain. Almost. My body was exhausted, and my mind was sluggish to function properly, but my head felt fine. “Yes,” I assured him, “just a bit of a headache” It was hard to believe that there hadn't been a moment when I'd actually believed what I was telling myself about my head hurting. But now that the adrenaline that usually kept it at bay was long gone, my memories were starting to come back slowly, one by one. And, while they were certainly coming in, the details weren't quite so clear. Not surprising. I was still pretty disoriented and confused, with an uncomfortable sensation running down my spine whenever I tried to move the right way. Still, it was better than waking up and
Aurora’s POV “I know someone who can help you” Immediately I heard those words, my heart began to pound faster against my chest, my hands went into a tight grip and my eyes began to water slightly. A tear fell down the right side of my cheek as I took a step backwards towards my bed and sat down on it, my face was filled with anxiety and shock, and I couldn’t even breathe properly. I know I needed help, I needed answers but this? Why was I suddenly scared? This situation seemed too bizarre, too impossible. I thought I could handle whatever this situation was, I wasn’t that scared of being lost after all these years. But yet here I am, standing frozen in front of some stranger- that wasn't much of a stranger, scratch that Alexis wasn't a stranger but there I was not knowing what to do or say. My mind went crazy, thinking about every single scenario that could possibly happen. “Who?” I croaked out. “A seer, it's going to take us three days to get to her but I heard she could help
Alpha Daniel's POVThe old man haunted my mind all day and so did Luna. I wondered what she knew, why was she keeping me in the dark? What way could I use to approach this situation? Threaten her? I knew better than to threaten Luna. For one to get whatever they wanted from her, I needed to be patient, calm, calculated and manipulative as well. But not making it obvious that I was manipulative because it was Luna’s area of expertise.I needed to act stupid.Yes, so I decided that I was going to get her roses the next day and an apology, I just had to make it seem genuine and let the rest of the events fall in place.Later that night, I saw Aurora in my dreams. She looked different than I could remember, she looked more beautiful than I could remember. Her golden skin shone under the moonlight like it was made of crystal. Her golden blonde curls framed her face. A smile was on her soft pink lips as she stood there waiting for whoever.I couldn't believe my eyes, it felt surreal that sh
Alpha Alexis POV Something was off with Aurora, I thought she'd be happy that we found a solution to all of this but it seemed to me as if she didn't care anymore. She barely said a word and even her smiles seemed more forced. I got to her room that evening and it took a miracle for me to keep my eyes from roaming around the flimsy excuse of a nightgown she had on. “Uhm, are we going to go there?” I cleared my throat, trying to not let any of my thoughts slip out too much and make her think I lacked self-control. “Go where?” she asked, staring off at nothing in particular, absentmindedly. “The... the seer” She looked like some kind of enchantress and I lacked words to describe her. I felt something deep within myself stir at the thought of just how beautiful she was. Even her skin seemed softer than most people in the world; her lips were full and slightly puffy, and her nose scrunched up when she spoke. She stood up and moved close to me, her smell filled my nose and my Wolf wa
Aurora’s POVHe lifted me up and he grabbed me roughly by my neck, pressing his lips against mine harshly.I was sure that he could taste himself on my lips and I didn't want him to store. It was hard to breathe with the strong grip Alexis had used on me, forcing me to move against his body. He didn’t release me even after he had finished kissing me, he simply held me tightly in place. He kept muttering sweet, filthy words into my ear as his hand slowly moved downwards along my sides.I loved the sound from each as it sent more wetness to my core.I shivered violently beneath his touch. His fingers traced along my waist until they made their way across my abdomen, tracing the outline of my curves and leaving trails of fire where his finger touched me. A part of my mind wondered when we started kissing, and another part realised it was probably inevitable that our lips would come together. There was something about him that made me unable to resist. And I certainly wasn't resisting no
Aurora’s POV“Good morning” I had a towel wrapped around myself while I woke Alexis up.The brightness of the room probably fucked with his eyes because he fluttered them open and stared at me for a few seconds like a startled deer before sitting straight up in bed and running his hands in his hair. “Shit!” He cursed. “Too bright, what time is it?” His face was all pale and sweaty from sleep and his voice was still hoarse from sleep. He looked like shit but was still attractive, it gave him a raw beauty that made me want to lean down and kiss every bit of him except I didn't want to do that.Where was I getting all of these thoughts from? “I don't know. I didn't check” I said instead because my brain didn't seem to be able to function properly without thinking about kissing the shit out of the guy in front of me so instead of kissing I grabbed my dress and walked past him to the bathroom so I wouldn't look completely disgusting, but also because if I got close enough to him, I would
Aurora’s POVWe went shopping and I saw the man from my dreams. He was there, on the other side of the street, staring straight at me, and if I hadn't known better I might have thought he was going to walk over to say hello. Then that truck drove past us in the middle of nowhere and he was gone.A gust of wind blew his way and I shivered, even though it wasn’t particularly chilly out. It felt as if I was standing on a precipice looking down at a bottomless pit, and no amount of willpower or will could keep me from falling off. There was nothing here for me except my own thoughts and memories. He had been there, and now he wasn’t, and it had all happened before I could even get started. The sound of the front door opening brought me back to earth. “Hey! Are you ready yet?” Alexis’s voice echoed around me but only made it worse somehow because I knew exactly what kind of energy he had to bring with him into a room like this.He came into view, his arms filled with plastic bags, and lo
