“What? You mean Diane is alive?”

“Hey, keep it down. I'm only just letting you know because I know you are my buddy.”

Fox went silent and quickly looked around him, just to be sure no one was eavesdropping.

“She is alive, just like I've said.”

“This is good news! You have no idea how guilty I have felt all this while, thinking that I was the reason she died. I blamed myself secretly. Knowing she's alive is a great relief. But how did she get to Alpha Ryan's pack?” Fox asked confused.

“This is also where my confusion lies. She had refused to tell me what happened, but she clarified it for me that she didn't leave the pack on her accord. Which is to say, someone tried forcing her to leave.” I stated.

“Or better, someone was trying to kill her,” Fox added with an expression that showed how confident he was by his words.

“Hold on a minute, I think I'm lost here. You just said someone could have been trying to kill her.”
