By the time they both arrived home, Savannah was completely winded. Her breath was so unsteady that one might think she'll pass out any moment from now.
After some seconds, she finally regained her breath before glancing at Madonna only to find her as pale as a ghost;she looked terribly unwell. “Donna?” Savannah tapped her shoulder, yet Madonna wasn't in the right frame of mind.
She walked wordlessly towards the couch, then slumped heavily on it, burying her face in it. If there's anything she can think of right now, It's Lord Nikon. No one needs to say she's currently fucked.
Initially, she wasn't scared, but reminiscing on his callous ways towards his enemies, she felt her blood slowly drying up. Savannah was anxious about Madonna.
She's never seen someone look as frightened as she is right now. So, she went over to the couch. “Madonna, what the fuck happened? I came searching for you since you were yet to come on stage and when I found you, you acted like a guilty serial killer” Savannah rasped, hoping to get an answer, yet Madonna didn't flinch from where she laid.
Savannah grunted, now confused about what to do. She stretched her hand then gently tapped Madonna's bare shoulder—yeah, she's still in her stripper outfit.
She cringed at Savannah's touch before lifting her now teary eyes. Not only that, but she sniffed, totally saddened at the turn of events—why would King do something as wicked as that to her.
“He didn't pull that shitty stunt with the other man, but he did with that lethal man! I'm so screwed” she mumbled then sniffed back the threatening teardrop.
Although Savannah had no idea what she's talking about, she settled down on the couch, close to Madonna. There, she began to pacify her.
By the time she calmed down, Madonna slept off straight away. Savannah had no other option than to take off her outfit, then place her in something less discomforting.
She also took her to bed before retiring to hers. Then again, sleep was far away from her due to Madonna's strange attitude—something is ghastly wrong, but the fuck what.
Sleep began invading her system little by little, but the blaring ringing of her phone disrupted it. Savannah gulped down nothingness, visibly reluctant to check the message.
It's definitely from them.

The next morning came rather too fast for Madonna—of course it did when she's scared. Savannah made sure to prepare breakfast, then served it to Madonna.
They could be seen in the dining room, having a breakfast of pancakes. Savannah barely ate since her main focus was Madonna, who continuously sighed.
“That's it Donna! Tell me that's wrong” Savannah demanded, gently, though. Madonna sniffed, then gazed at her. Hesitantly, she disclosed every single thing that transpired last night.
“Is the Lord Nikon that terrifying?” Savannah asked obliviously. At first, Madonna found the question quite vexing, then again recollected the fact that Savannah isn't a human.
“Of course he is, Anna. He's ruthless. Ha! I wonder when he'll come for my head” she sighed distressed. “But…you're not to be blamed, right? He did try to rape you. You're not supposed to be scared, I'm pretty sure the Alpha of New York would punish him” Savannah blurted without reconsidering her words.
Her utterance got Madonna giggling for a long time. “Oh dear Anna. There's no such thing as an Alpha in the human world. Jeez! Your ignorance is quite adorable” she giggled cheekily.
“And so? Isn't there some kind of leader or ruler of New York?” she asked innocently, making a small grin form on Madonna's lips.
“Yeah. There's a leader, but the fuck, can he do? Lord Nikon…is simply untouchable. Even the mayor is afraid of him, it's a known fact” She muttered bitterly. Silence stepped in for a while before Savannah spoke again.
“So…what do you plan to do now? Run away?”
“Run away? Ha! That isn't even an option. Where can I even go? I'm…an orphan without anyone in this entire world, so I've got to stay put. At least getting killed in this apartment won't be that bad, huh?”
Savannah couldn't help but notice the grimy loneliness, depression, and sadness in her tone—she wishes to tell Madonna she's also an orphan…no. The child of a mistress with three brothers who treat her like trash, but canceled against the idea. She would rather not seem pitiful.
“The only thing I can do to elongate my inevitable death is hide in this apartment; I can't even go to work because of King. That rat bastard might get killed by me if I step foot in that club again” Madonna sounded angered as she spoke. Yeah, the feeling of betrayal sure is painful.
Savannah nodded to her plans and reassured her of her endless support.

SOME WEEKS LATER~~
“Are you sure it's a good idea for you to tag along?” Savannah couldn't help but ask doubtfully. Madonna rolled her eyes at her as she slipped into the sneakers.
“Yeah yeah. I mean I can't keep hiding forever right?” she cheeked then reached for her jacket.
Savannah didn't want to dissent any further, so shrugged before they walked out of the apartment. It's been some weeks since the incident happened and well Madonna feels Nikon might have forgotten about it.
Savannah has been staying with her and to be honest, she loves her company. Today, they are going out to shop for some essential things and for clothes.
Madonna, although lax, made sure to wear a facemask, so she'll not be spotted so easily. She locked the door firmly, then hopped on the bike with Savannah.
While they sped off, a black SUV parked at a distance from the apartment had its tinted glass rolled down, revealing Nikon.
His head was slightly bandaged, and his face displayed no emotions at all.
“This is the place?” he directed the question to Janis, who's apparently seated next to him. She played a vital role in leading the way to Madonna's house.
“Yes my Lord” she responded, grinning deceptively. He remained mute as he brought out a phone, then put a call across to some of his goods.
His eyes were fixed on the apartment as he spoke unfeelingly.
“Boys, burn that shithole to the ground”

“Donna, don't you think we spent too much?” Savannah voiced out her thoughts while they walked briskly from the grocery store. Madonna with a giant big red lollipop sealed in her reddish lips merely shrugged. Truthfully, she doesn't think they spent too much.
They simply visited the mall, the grocery store and then the arcade. Sure, she paid for everything, but that doesn't bother her in the slightest. Madonna took a break from licking the unusually large candy in her mouth as she faced Savannah, who kept looking worriedly at her.
“None of this shit, Savannah. Do you have any idea how much I get paid as a stripper? Heck, I'm a low-key multimillionaire!” she gushed reassuringly at her. Savannah eased up yet didn't fail to continuingly thank Madonna for the clothes.
They are both holding about 7 bags each. Finally, they arrived at the parking lot and spotted Madonna's motorcycle. Thereafter, they hopped on and the ride back to the apartment began.
While they rode on the busy road, they chatted about irrelevant things, then again Savannah's nose inhaled the foul scent of something burning.
She repeatedly sniffed the air, hoping it isn't what she's thinking—she's definitely a house on fire. Her main concern is…the less distance they cover to the apartment, the stronger the scent gets.
Ultimately, Madonna had to ask why she's behaving strangely. “Anna, the hell's wrong with you? Got something stuck in your nostrils or what?” she asked with concern laced in her tone. “No…that's not it, Donna. An…apartment is on fire. I can inhale it” she confessed in a mutter.
Before Madonna could respond, Savannah's eyes caught an uncontrollable flame…emanating from Madonna's apartment!
“Donna!” she gasped fearfully, diverting her attention to the burning building. “The hell!?” Madonna accelerated drastically.
Arriving at her apartment, she fell unbelievably on her knees, gaping at the blazing flames. Her eyes watered recklessly as she bit her lips a bit too hard for comfort.
Savannah was equally petrified with shock, with her lips quivering prolonged. “How…how…how is this happening?” Madonna screamed disbelievingly, her heart slowly began shattering to pieces. In her state of misfortune, a call briefly diverted her attention.
She answered it with shaky figures, then placed it on her right ear. Savannah was still ogling at the raging fire when another schierke elicited Madonna's lips.
“W…w…w…what do you mean my money's gone. I… Fucking? Hey…don't disconnect the freaking call! Hey! Hey!!” Madonna screamed madly into the phone, almost smashing it to pieces due to rage.
“Donna?” Savannah called as she stood from where knelt. She seemed overly frustrated as she drove her fingers into her red hair.
“Donna!”
“Savannah I'm finished! Everything I've fucking worked for is going down the drain, and why because I messed with that goddamn mafia!! Argh!!” she bellowed fiercely with tears streaming down her cheeks. There she cried loudly as he strolled casually in—expectedly, he's smoking with lethal looks in his eyes.
“My, you are smarter than you seem” the toxicity in his voice got Madonna turning her head to gaze at him. Behind him were about dozens of guards who reeked of danger.
Words failed to describe how scared she was, and he seemed to enjoy the frightened look on her face. “You…you…you did all these?” she screamed, taking unsteady steps backwards. She almost tripped, but fortunately Savannah caught her.
Nikon smirked dangerously, moving closer to her. “Surprised baby doll? Oh! Don't be. You caused this, didn't you?” he pointed his finger at his bandaged head.
“You're only paying for your crimes. Get her!” he instructed, and immediately, the group of guards rushed at her.
Savannah and Madonna weren't needed to be told to get the fuck out of there. They hurried to their heels, running crazily fast.
Surprisingly, Madonna was faster than Savannah when it comes to speed, even though Savannah's a werewolf. All that wasn't put into consideration as they ran, with the guards chasing hotly after them. Madonna's motorcycle had been trashed, probably by Nikon's goons. Savannah instinctively pulled Madonna into an alley when they came across one.
“Savannah? What the…”
“Forgive me for this, but we'll be making a trip to the Pack's Palace!” she uttered rashly. Her arms were wrapped around Madonna's shoulder as the large wall of light emerged from nowhere. The wall literally swollen them whole.
In the next instant, they appeared in a completely dense forest, but with an unconscious Madonna. Savannah sighed, crouching on the floor.
She held her face softly, then chewed her lips. “You'll be angry when you wake, but this is for the best” Savannah hushed, then scooped her off the grass. She had no choice than to hoist Madonna on her back as she began walking towards…a magnificent palace. The guards stationed at the large gate appeared highly strict with deep frowns plastered on their faces. The instant they saw Savannah, they paved the way for her.
“Welcome back, your highness. The Alphas have been worried about you” a guard spoke to Savannah, who thoroughly ignored them.
She marched into the living room where countless maids were scurrying about, then again they all rushed towards her and bowed respectfully.
“I assume my room wasn't touched?” she spoke coldly to no one in particular. “Yes your highness”
Savannah nodded before ascending the stairs. Arriving at a luxurious bedroom, she placed Madonna gently on it. Savannah heaved, exhausted from the troubles.
Deep within her, she knew coming back here would only spell trouble, but could she have done in that situation? The life of her friend is more important, right? As she contemplated, she never knew that they were standing gallantly at the door.
The sudden gush of wind got her aware of their presence as she turned to face them. As always, the cold, hateful and disgusting look in those silver colored eyes of theirs couldn't be mistaken.
“My Alphas I…”
“The daughter of a whore doesn't have any right to speak!” Oliver's irritated tone sliced through her words. “I thought you died off something, Sawyer” Xavier scoffed, glaring resentfully at her.
It was evident she's hated upon, but he didn't speak, instead walked elegantly towards her. He stood in front of her, then suddenly grabbed her neck, literally lifting her off the ground.
Easily, she was tossed recklessly across the room with her back meeting the wall violently. She groaned excessively in pain, yet he didn't seem to care.
“A mistress' daughter is not entitled to be here. What are you doing here, Sawyer?” Geneva thundered authoritatively.
Madonna awoke to behold three unimaginably gorgeous male individuals. At first, she hastily dabbed at her eyes to make sure she isn't dreaming and blinking her eyes back open to confirm it was truly reality, she immediately detached herself from the comfy fluffy stuff she was laid on and yanked the bed sheet aside. Her eyes took in the sights and she almost dropped. The first male figure her eyes stayed rooted on was nome other than Xavier: the playboy, womanizer, and ladies man of the triplets. The maidens in the pack swoon shamelessly around Xavier for his good-looking, deep pockets and charisma. And she noticed something, as she scanned him from head and down to the toe, he also did the same- though his was conducted shamelessly. Her eyes swept over his figure to meet with Geneva- singularly, he's described as a perfectionist. At the age of 19, himself and his brothers were made Alphas of the formidable Holy Moon Pack by their late father. Cold-hearted, ever frowzy, peskiest, callo
Lord Nikon! Lord Nikon!!There was possibly no other name than than that could give her so much shrills as that does. No one knows his mind. The Lord Nikon she had dared might be capable of doing any shitty thing, as long as it would get him to lay his hands on her.Savannah also sighed exasperatedly, collapsing unto her bed. She rubbed at her eyes, fatigue obvious on the two pairs. Madonna eyed her daringly and with a polite roll of eyes, she sat upright on the bed. She knew she has to find a way to ease Madonna up to also spare herself the headache because, holy cow! She feels so much like sleeping."We are here now, Madonna. We left him to deal with himself. Just get your mind off the messes he made of your life and start afresh. Leave your old lifestyle alone and begin something new from here onward." Savannah hopefully spoke, drawing in a long breath therafter.Madonna speechlessly ventured towards the bed and climbing unto it, she laid on her back; facing the ceiling as thoughts
"How dare you?"he thundered hazardously at Madonna's face, his face burning with unquenchable fury. She firmly took her stand, not even the least backing out. Savannah peeked from over her shoulder and Geneva's angry looking face scared her away, causing her to quickly duck back behind Madonna. She was never the type to act like scaredy cat but it has a limitation. Her courage are limited to her brothers; the triplets. The triplets are all fierce and if anything, she knows better than crossing their paths because it would mean incurring their wraths. And for a long time now, she's been abstaining from invoking any disaster."I might joke with anything but never a person who's my friend. Just because of a plain Xbox, it doesn't mean you can go all ape on her. I had thought you were more more mature but right now, I knew I had guess wrong. Just give my friend a breathing space and that's all"Madonna challenges him, inching closer to him.Geneva's hands curled into fists beside him, his
"Make me a steaming cup of coffee!"As soon as Xavier instructed, Madonna burst into a laughing fit; facepalming herself because why not? It sounds so funny to the ears that she knew he was obviously joking. Meanwhile, Xavier gave her the whole of the time to laugh, his patience still there."Don't worry, I give you the time to laugh. As long as when you're done, you'll have to hurry up and get me my coffee."he remarked, sipping from the glass of whiskey still held tightly in his hand."You seriously think am one of the pack's slave?"At her outburst, he almost choked on his drink, his head snapping up to look at her face. While she did the same; taking note of his serious expression while she has on the I-don't-give-a-fuck look."You're under our roof, Madonna. Just a simple coffee wouldn't take so much of your time to make."he plainly said, putting his glass of shot aside on the refrigerator and turning back towards her.Madonna didn't respond as she found it nothing but unnecessary.
Madonna's face paled, losing all colours..."I don't understand."She feebly shook her head, taking a short glimpse down at the document by the bed before her gaze stirred back to the man. Meanwhile, Savannah creased her nape; already having the knowledge of what was about going on."The triplets seemed to have came to an agreement and has decided that for you to stay here; you have to sign that contract that will dim you as their stripper to guarantee your lifetime stay under their roof."the man explained, the tag by his suit reading the name, Asher Dawson; the pack's lawyer."Look Mr Asher-"Madonna began, her lips pulsed to speak as she attempted inching closer to him."Miss, Madonna. The guards are right outside incase you want to object to the idea. They are there for a reason which is to throw you out. Miss, you can please cooperate or use the door."His voice came so sharply, cutting her off from any further talk.Savannah moved closer to her, rubbing a hand down her back assuring
"L-ord N- ikon..."Realization dawned on her, her eyes bobbing in their sockets in fright. Before she knew it, she fell on her knees before Oliver- having no choice than to plead. Hell- Nikon mustn't get to her!"I can assure you I won't bother you with my existence. I'll always make sure not to cross your paths henceforth. I also won't be a pain in the neck but please; let me stay here. I don't want to be thrown out of this pack, please. I promise I will be a good kid, I-"She quickly clamped her mouth shut at his stern look, creasing her forehead uncomfortably as she realized she's been a blabbering mess all this while.Oliver's eyes stayed rooted on her, gaging her every movements. His fists clenched by his sides, his jaw tensing alongside as he contemplated on his decision. Her bright eyes held so much pain and pleads while his held restriction.Savannah who stood right there behind her was rigid against the door, her eyes welling up with tears for her friend. No doubt, she knew th
"You are going nuts, Xavier. Is that what you called the meeting for?"Came Oliver's huff, looking as irritated as ever. While, Geneva raked his fingers into his hair before swiftly rising up his feet, consumed with annoyance."Obviously, yes."Xavier shrugged like it's nothing until Oliver overtook Geneva and was before him in no time to struck a cruel blow to his face."Just let him be, Oliver."Geneva quickly held him back, shooting daggers at Xavier who hastily brought up his hands in surrender. Oliver jerked his hand out of Geneva's grip and sending watchful Xavier a just-try-that-again-and-see look, before storming out of the living room."The sooner you go for a brain checker, the sooner you get healed. Fuck you Xavier, I can't believe I wasted minutes of my life just to listen to your shits."Geneva stated, shaking his head and also making his way out of the living room, tucking his hands into his trouser pocket."Well, I don't care about the starting day anymore. All I know is am
The door opened and she could swear, when the person climbed out of the car- Her breathing galloped.Geneva after shutting his car door behind him, wore his sunglasses and looked sideway. Madonna thought she dunked- or at least attempted to but he was quick to catch sight of her."Oh, shit."she mumbled, scolding herself as soon as she realizes there was no escape. Geneva looked around where she stood, in search of his sister. It wasn't like he cares though but because he wanted to see if she'd dumped her friend and left. Perhaps Madonna was then afraid to go home and... Well, he doesn't care about whatsoever had happened but would be glad if the two friends had parted and Madonna would no longer be staying under their roof."Where's Savannah?"Asking, he started approaching. She began to panic. It seems he cares so thus; she's going to first die by his hand because how on earth would she spill it out to him that his sister is missing?"Uhm, I... I..." She couldn't make out words, inst
The End Geneva and Xavier dismissed the maids after they were done bringing their luggages in. Both having turned around at the same time to check out their new abode, a tight smile crawled on top Xavier's face. Putting back on his sunglasses, he shrugged indifferently at Geneva. " At least now we'll be able to concentrate solemnly on our duties- as Alphas at that."" Yeah, you're kinda right." Geneva nodded in agreement. The mansion been so freaking huge with its funitures and interiors costing a whomping sum of money, they found no problem with it. And also, it's one of the properties owned by them. "Do you think Oliver will be fine? He reluctantly agreed to it when we told him of our decision to leave." Just as Xavier was climbing up the stairs to explore inside, Geneva questioned him. Almost like he just heared the unbelievable, the rate at which Xavier snapped his head towards him was quite snappy. " Did you just ask that?" Xavier wagged a brow at Geneva who wagged a brow, in
STIR UP Why does that name stir up so many emotions in my heart? Hearing him say her name while kissing me was the worse thing that could have ever happened to me. How could I continue kissing a man who called me by another woman's name?It means that he was thinking about her while kissing me. The realization hits me so hard that I feel the air get knocked straight out of my body. He didn't know he was kissing me this entire time; he thought he was kissing her. This fact breaks my heart into two. All along, I was hoping that Kane knew he was with me, that he knew how close we were, that he was enjoying it, that it was making him happy. Now I know that he was thinking about her, the woman he was deeply in love with. He loved and missed her so much that he mistook me for her; for Maya.I didn't know her. I knew nothing about her but yet I didn't think I'd ever been more envious of a woman in my entire life before. How stupid was I? How could I envy a woman I'd never met? She did nothi
LAST EVENT I can't let her continue to touch me like this. My crazy heart likes it too much when it shouldn't. She's making me feel things that I promised myself that I never would until I found Maya.I don't know what's happening to me. Why do I act like this girl is my mate? I didn't only kill that man from earlier because of what he did; I also killed him because I wanted to from the moment I saw him trying to flirt with her.My reaction to her was driving me f*****g crazy. When would I stop this? What did I have to do to stop feeling this way for her? Every time I tried to push her away, something like this happened, pushing me closer to her than ever.I didn't want to snap at her, not after what almost happened to her tonight.I imagine Maya in front of me, and I see the look of disappointment on her face. She's disappointed in me for being so weak and once again letting her down. I couldn't even control my urges around another woman. I never knew that I was this soft. How coul
STEPPING AWAY"I'll return to the party," I tell him as I step away from him. It's hard for me to do it, but he's leaving me no choice. He doesn't want me here. “It's clear that you don't want me here. I won't stay where I'm not wanted. All I wanted to do was to help you as you helped me. I wanted to hear your story; you remember everything from your past while I remember nothing. I don't know who my children's father is, and I don't know my name. I don't know my family. I don't know anything. I don't know if people are looking for me, and I don't know if someone did this to me or if losing my memory was an accident. I don't know why I'm telling you this; you don't want to hear it. I'm just trying to say that while I don't remember anything about my life, you remember everything about yours. And whatever it is that you remember, I can tell that it's hurting you. I'm sorry if I overstepped my boundaries; as I said, I only wanted to help."Kane doesn't say anything; he isn't looking at
ASTRAY My mind was racing as I tried to make sense of his words. Was he referring to the woman he was with before he decided to marry Giselle? Is she the reason why he's always looking like this? How much did he care about her? Did he love her? There were so many questions on my mind. I needed the answers, and I had to get them now. I felt like I would go insane if he didn't tell me who she was."Who is she?" I whisper. I can't even recognize my voice. I'm scared, actually scared, to find out that this was the woman he loved. I'm not sure how I would react to this, knowing that there was a woman out there that Kane loved this much. A woman that left him in a state of depression. He doesn't have to tell me. I can see the answer in his eyes alone. But I still want to hear it. I won't believe it until he opened his mouth and told me.I wait for his answer, but it never comes."Who is she?" I ask again. "How can you say something like that without explaining yourself? I want to know who
UPCOMING "Yes," Kane finally answers. "You weren't waking up, and I knew you had plenty of things planned for us today. I had my friend, a doctor, make sure that everything was okay. He told me that it's important that you rest for a few days."Giselle shakes her head, "I can't rest when we've already lost an entire day together, Kane; we need to make up for the lost time. I have some friends coming over tonight; I didn't realize I'd been sleeping for so long. I want to introduce you to them. They will be happy to know that I've finally gotten the man of my dreams.""Do you think that's a good idea?" he asks her. "I don't want to see anything happen to your health; it was hard being by your side today and seeing you so sick. Please reconsider."Giselle smiles, and it's weird to see her look this happy all at once, "thank you for showing me your caring side. If I had any doubts about our upcoming marriage, they're gone now. You're going to make a wonderful husband and father to our f
WAKES UPI had the list of their enemies. I needed to remove the ones that didn't have sisters; that would be rare to find, but it was all I had to work with. My plan will only work if the person who wrote the letter about Maya was telling the truth.I hold the paper tightly in my hands; this is the first lead. I'm not going to stop here. The next chance that I get, I'm searching for her.I don't care where you are, Maya. I will find you, and I will make things right between us."Kane!" I heard someone shout my name. I turn towards the sound, and I recognize the person immediately. It's the same girl from before who protected me from Maya's brothers. I didn't want to stay and speak to anyone, but I think I had to at least listen to her after she saved my life. She's why I can live to find out what happened to my mate."What is your name?" I ask her.She looked startled when I asked her, but she quickly answered, "Gabriella."I nod, "not that I'm not grateful that you saved my life bef
NUZZLE I felt the girl smell me earlier. I'm sure of it. Her actions both puzzled and did things to my body that I would rather not think about. Why did she trust me as much as she did? What was it about her that continued to draw me in? She was a puzzle to me, a puzzle that I had to keep away from. She kept doing things that surprised me; I was never sure what she was about to say or do. It was easy to say that I would never have a dull moment with her. I've had people hate me from the moment they met me, who judged me. She was probably one of the first women who thought of me as someone they could trust blindly.Thinking about her while she wasn't even near me was off-limits. From now on, I had to be harsher on myself. I had to do it because I couldn't disappoint the one person that mattered to me.I look up from where I'm standing.I don't know why I'm in front of Maya's home; I wouldn't be here if I had another option to find my mate. I knew that the only way I would be able to
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND TWO:- BACK THEREI want to scream in frustration when Kane closes his arms around me. I'm not allowed to feel this way for him. The man doesn't even like it when I say his name. I felt his reaction when I held onto him earlier; he was unhappy about it. I think he hates it when I'm near him. He hates it when I touch him and he hates it when I speak. What was wrong with my body? Why do I act like this isn't the first time we've been this close? Why does my heart tell me that I should remember him? Why do I want to hold onto him and stay this way forever? There is no way that I knew Kane.My stupid heart was crazy for thinking otherwise; that's the only explanation I can think of. If Kane knew who I was, he would have recognized me by now. Instead, he acts like I'm a stranger, someone he doesn't want to ever be around.I'm glad that he's treating me this way; if he'd continued to be kind for no reason, my heart would have continued to waver. It's something that co
